Chavez Young finally had a big game leading Dunedin to a win. Anthony Alford also did well, three hits, and Graham Spraker pitched well for Buffalo in a spot start. The Bisons also won. Lansing made it three wins with 14 hits including a home run by Gabriel Moreno and three triples. New Hampshire lost.

Scranton 2 Buffalo 3

One big inning was enough to get the win and make a loser of ex-Jay Drew Hutchison. Hutchison has a 5.53 ERA in AAA and still might be a better option than Edwin Jackson. The big inning started with doubles by Anthony Alford and Socrates Brito. RBI singles from Patrick Kivlehan and Richard Urena completed the scoring. Alford, who had seen his average slip recently, had a nice 3-3 with a walk.

The Bisons played two doubleheaders this week so they needed pitching. Come on down Graham Spraker who came up from Dunedin and did well. He pitched 5.1 innings and only conceded one run on three hits. Kirby Snead got five outs and Justin Shafer six. Ex major leaguer Brad Miller took Shafer deep in the ninth to make it a one run game.

Bowie 7 New Hampshire 5

New Hampshire were down 5-1 but scored four in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game. But Jackson McClelland was grooving it in the ninth, three line drives led to two runs for Bowie and NH could not respond. Hector Perez had been pitching better recently but that ended on Thursday. In five innings he gave up five runs on nine hits with four walks.

Nash Knight got the Fisher Cats on the board with a solo shot. Chad Spanberger tied the game with a three run shot in the seventh. Knight and Spanberger had two hits each as did Brock Lundquist who needed the hits, his last hit came on May 30th. Kevin Smith was 0-4 with two K's. Forrest Wall and Riley Adams had the day off after striking out on Wednesday.

Charlotte 7 Dunedin 8

The Jays led 8-4 before Brad Wilson almost blew it in the ninth. He did have to work around an error but he ended the game with the tying run on third. Charolotte scored four off Turner Larkins through nine hits.

Chavez Young was the offensive star, 3-4 with three runs and three RBI. He singled, doubled and homered. Chris Bec had two hits while six other hitters singled. Alejandro Kirk, Cullen Large and Ryan Noda all sat this one out.

Lansing 7 Great Lakes 1

The Lugnuts out-hit Great Lakes 14-5. Troy Miller is getting used to A ball. Over five innings he picked up seven K's while allowing one run. Will McAffer threw 2.1 shutout innings, Cre Finfrock added 1.2 of his own.

The hitters had their bats going, 14 hits over eight hitters. Six hitters had two hits each. Gabriel Moreno was one of them and he hit his fourth home run. Three of the two hit hitters tripled, Ryan Gold, Hagen Danner and Nick Podkul. Reggie Pruitt and Griffin Conine were the other two hitters with two. Conine had a typical start, two hits and three strikeouts.

DSL

The DSL Jays lost 10-2. The Jays picked up four hits, Francisco Fajardo, in the nine hole, had two. Four of the five pitchers were scored upon, the only one not to be scored upon recorded the last out of the eighth.
