Ryan Gold hit a grand slam in the sixth inning. Not only was that notable, it left Gold a double short of the cycle. He got that double in the eighth for a grande cycle. The Fisher Cats came back from being 3-1 down in the seventh to win. Alberto Mineo had two hits and drove in three runs. Vinny Capra had two hits and drove in the other two runs. Brandon Grudzielanek also had two hits.
Yennsy Diaz keeps showing why the Jays protected him this winter. He pitched 6.2 innings, allowing four hits, one walk, five K's. Hartford did score three runs off him but all were unearned due to a two error play.
Lakeland 2 Dunedin 6
Ryan Noda went 4-4 with two runs scored and two RBI. Cullen Large had two doubles and now has reached base safely in his last 13 games for Dunedin. Riley Adams homered, his second of the season, a two run shot.
Turner Larkins started and went five innings with two runs allowed. He has just two K's. Brad Wilson pitched three hitless innings in relief.
Dayton 4 Lansing 12
It was the Ryan Gold show, hitting for the cycle, including a grand slam. In total Gold drove in seven runs. Reggie Pruitt stayed hot with three hits as did Otto Lopez.
Sean Wymer pitched six innings and gave up three runs on six hits. Sean Rackoski got the last four outs having just been recalled from extended. Connor Law was promoted.
