It was a 50/50 night on the farm with a mix of wins and losses. Harold Ramirez had four hits to lead the Fisher Cats to a win. Samad Taylor drove in three to anchor a Lansing win. Both the GCL and DSL Jays won on walk-offs. Troy Squires for the GCL Jays reached base six times. In the losses, Vlad Jr. homered again, Yennsy Diaz pitched well and Eric Pardinho gave up a couple of home runs.

Buffalo

Buffalo lost 10-5. It was the bullpen that coughed up this one. Starter Matt Tracy pitched five innings and left with a 3-1 lead. But Taylor Guerreri gave up four in the sixth and Craig Breslow added three more in the seventh. The 3-1 lead had become an 8-4 deficit.

Vlad Jr. homered for the second night in a row. He was 2-4. Dwight Smith also had two hits with a home run. Rowdy Tellez had two hits and a walk. Tim Lopes also piched up two hits.

New Hampshire

New Hampshire fell behind 2-0 but came back to win 7-2. The offense was spread through the lineup but Harold Ramirez went 4-5 with three runs scored, two RBI and hit his tenth home run. Cavan Biggio was 1-3 but walked twice. That gives Biggio 87 walks for the season. If we add his 120 K's and 24 home runs he has 231 "true outcomes". He has 440 plate appearances so over 50% result in a homer, walk or K. Bo Bichette did not play.

Hector Perez pitched as advertised, seven walks and six strikeouts in four innings. He dodged some bullets to only give up the two runs. Josh DeGraaf came out of the bullpen and threw three shutout innings.

Dunedin

Dunedin lost 2-1 in ten innings. As the score suggests it was a pitching dominant game. The Jays had seven hits, seven different hitters had one each.

Yenssy Diaz pitched six innings and just allowed an unearned run. It was a good start for him. Angel Perdomo seems to be a bullpen guy now, he pitched two innings and gave up a run on three hits. Jake Fishman took the loss.

Lansing

Lansing won 4-3. The 8, 9 and lead-off hitters did most of the damage for the Lugnuts. The 8 hitter, Reggie Pruitt, had two hits and scored two runs. The #9 hitter, Jesus Navarro, was 3-3 and scored a run. The lead-off hitter, Samad Taylor, drove in three runs with a triple and a sac fly. Chavez Young had two hits, Ryan Noda struck out three times.

Jordan Barrett had a couple of rough starts to begin his time at Lansing but he has been pitching better recently. He went six shutout innings, with four hits allowed.

Vancouver

Vancouver lost 11-10. With a score like that you know the pitching was not good, of six pitchers used by the C's, five were scored on. Sean Wymer and Joey Murray have been an effective tandem for the C's but both of them gave up multiple runs on Thursday.

The C's 10 runs came off of just nine hits. Mc Gregory Contreras homered, Otto Lopez and Brandon Polizzi both were 2-3 with a walk.

Bluefield

The strong Bluefield offense was held to just four hits and lost 3-0. Two of the guys with high batting averages got one hit each, namely Cal Stevenson and Alejandro Kirk to maintain their averages.

Eric Pardinho was taken deep twice for three runs total. He pitched six innings with six K's and was fine other than the homers.

GCL Jays

The GCL Jays won 6-5 in eleven innings. Aldo Ovando singled in the winning run. Ovando had two hits as did Addison Bargar. Troy Squires was 3-3 with 3 walks. He had two hits yesterday and has jumped his batting average by close to 50 points in two days. Jordan Groshans was 1-6 and was ejected in the eleventh.

The starter was rehabbing Aaron Sanchez who was hit around a bit for four runs in three innings. The bullpen was excellent in this game, Ryan Thurston had six K's in three shutout innings, Alexander Molina just allowed an unearned run in two innings and Luis Alvarez also had six K's in three perfect innings.

DSL Jays

The DSL Jays won 2-1 on a walkoff in the bottom of the ninth. In the ninth Jose Rivas singled, Miguel Hiraldo doubled, Alberto Rodriguez grounded out to tie the game and a wild pitch won it. Santos Moreno had a good start, he threw six shutout innings with seven K's.
