The #BlueJays affiliates won three out of five Tuesday. New Hampshire had a doubleheader postponed due to rain. Lansing and Bluefield had the night off.

Buffalo 7 Nortfolk 3

Sean Reid-Foley put together a quality start by surrendering just one run on a home run and walking just two over six innings. He struck out five and induced six outs on the ground. Murphy Smith gave up no runs in two innings of work. Jose Fernandez gave up a pair in the ninth before finishing the game out.

RBI doubles by Darnell Sweeney and Reese McGuire were two of the key offensive plays for the Herd. McGuire also drew a walk. Jonathan Davis had a double and recorded the only two-hit game for Buffalo. Richard Urena was 1-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base. Dalton Pompey was 0-for-2 with two walks and two runs batted in. Gio Urshela had a knock and a walk.


Dunedin 4 Florida 0

Zach Logue zapped the Fire Frogs with seven innings of shutout relief by giving up two hits and a hit by pitch while striking out five to earn the win. Roberto Osuna and Anderson Nunez started and finished this one with one strikeout over their shutout frames.

A Riley Adams RBI groundout, a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. two-run double and a Kevin Smith run-scoring single produced the four runs.  Smith, Guerrero, Josh Palacios and Santiago Espinal all had two hits in the top four spots of the batting order. Smith tripled and stole a base and Palacios had a double. Every Dunedin Blue Jay hitter reached base with Brock Lundquist taking two for the team.


Tri-City 10 Vancouver 4

The C's first-half playoff chances took another hit in this one. Josh Winckowski gave up five runs (two earned) over 1-2/3 innings. Bryan Lizardo homered. More gory details right here.



GCL Pirates 10 GCL Blue Jays 8

The Jays flushed a 6-0 lead down the toilet as the Bucs scored all of their runs in the last three innings. Juan Diaz scattered five hits, a walk and two plunks over five shutout innings.and struck out four. Luis Alvarez allowed four runs while Meliton Reyes and Franniel Polanco were ripped for three each. Reyes was charged with the blown save and the loss.

Leonardo Jimenez had a run-scoring triple and two run-scoring singles in a 3-for-4 day at the dish. Hector Guerrero had two hits and a walk which included a two-run home run. Joseph Reyes also had a two-hit afternoon. Logan Warmoth singled, walked and took one for the team. Jordan Groshans had a base hit and a base on balls.



DSL Blue Jays 6 DSL Padres 4

The Dom-Jays pulled this one out with a three-run rally in the sixth to erase a 4-3 deficit. Hanley Acevedo struck the key blow with a two-run triple. He and Geyber JImenez had the two-hit performances with Jimenez getting a double and an RBI. Pedro Hurtado doubled and walked twice. Miguel Hiraldo had a walk in his four plate appearances.

Alexis Carmona supplied 5-1/3 innings of three-run ball on five hits and three walks but struck out six. Pedro Padilla got the blown save and the victory with one run allowed in two-thirds of an inning. Jose Brito worked around a hit and two walks for two goose eggs thanks to three strikeouts. Jeison Contreras got away with three hits and a had a strikeout in the ninth for the save.
