New Hampshire and Dunedin won in extra innings. The GCL Jays won in regulation. Buffalo were blown out. Vancouver and Bluefield lost tight one's. Lansing had the day off. Generally it was a quiet night on the farm with few standout performances. Several 17 year olds are delivering good performances in the Jays system. One of the most notable, Eric Pardinho, started for Bluefield last night and was popping 97's on the radar gun. 17 year old Leonardo Jimenez had two hits for the GCL Jays. And 17 year old, who you never heard of, Erickvi Celedonio had three hits for the DSL Jays.

Buffalo

The Bisons lost 10-2 and were down 10-0 until Danny Jansen hit a two run home run in the ninth. The Bison hitters had just three hits and Jansen had two of them. Anthony Alford had the other hit. The Bisons were held down by the Josh Smith's. Josh D Smith went six innings and Josh A Smith went three.

Nick Tepesch started and gave up five runs was pulled with two outs in the third. Luis Santos and Al Alburquerque did no better.

New Hampshire

When you need to score ten runs to win in extra innings it is a sign that your pitching was not good. This game went ten innings and New Hampshire prevailed 10-9. Connor Panas drove in the ninth run in extras to go with a two run home run he hit earlier. Jon Berti doubled in Panas for the winning run. Bo Bichette, Juan Kelly and Patrick Cantwell also had two hits each. The offense was distributed, eight players had a hit and six drove in a run.

Josh DeGraaf is finding it hard to find his groove in AA. He was charged with five runs and his ERA is now 7.27. Four relievers, Nick Hartman, Jose Fernandez, Zach Jackson and Andrew Case all let Erie score.

Dunedin

Dunedin won 5-4 in eleven innings. The winning run came via a sac fly from Nash Knight. Eduard Pinto had two hits, one of them a three run home run. John LaPrise also had two hits. Logan Warmoth has missed the last two games but has not been placed on the DL.

Zach Logue pitched seven innings and allowed three runs on seven hits. Catcher Jonelvy Molina pitched the top of the eleventh and picked up the win. Former Blue Jay, until the Dickey trade, Wuilmer Becerra is now 23 years old and hitting .182 in the FSL.

Lansing

Lansing are on their all-star break.

Vancouver

The C's lost 5-4 but were outhit 10-4. Catcher Reilly Johnson hit his first professional home run, a two run shot. The Jays 4th round pick in this years draft Sean Wymer started and was hit around.

Our own #2JBrumfield was at the game and posted a detailed report here.

Bluefield

The Jays lost 2-0 even though they outhit their opponents 7-3. All three hits by Johnson City led to the two runs. Two singles led to the only run given up by Eric Pardinho. The third hit was a solo home run off newly drafted Troy Watson. Pardinho threw 65 pitches and his line was 4 2 1 1 2 5. After Pardinho five relievers pitched an inning each.

The Jays offense was led by Patrick Morris and Davis Schneiderwho had two hits each. Schneider played second base.

GCL Jays

The GCL Jays won 3-2 despite having just five hits. Through five innings the Jays had two hits, both by 17 year old Leonardo Jimenez. They added two more hits, and three runs, in the sixth. Gabe Molina had a one out triple. He scored on a single from Joseph Reyes. A couple of walks loaded the bases and then an error let the two other runs score.

Two pitchers threw for the Jays. 20 year old Juan Diaz celebrated turning 20 yesterday by throwing five shutout innings. 18 year old Alvery De Los Santos pitched the last four innings and he conceded the two runs.

The DSL Jays lost 6-5 in a walk-off. Miguel Hiraldo picked up his usual two hits. 17 year old Erickvi Celedonio went 3-4.
