Palacios Says Adios In Dunedin Doubleheader Sweep

The #BlueJays affiliates took four out of five Monday night. New Hampshire's game in Erie was rained out. Buffalo and Dunedin were off.
Dunedin 9-3 St. Lucie 5-2
Game 1 was a continuation from April 15. Josh Palacios was 5-for-6 with a home run and five RBI and stole a base. Bradley Jones and Eduardo Pinto chipped in with two hits apiece. Rodrigo Orozco reached four times with a hit and three ball fours.
Tayler Saucedo gave up four runs (three earned) on nine hit and a walk while posting a 5-1 K/BB total over seven innings for the win. Ty Tice had a shutout eighth while Jackson McClelland gave up one in the ninth.
Game 2 saw Palacios swat a three-run homer as part of a 2-for-3 night at the plate. Kacy Clemens had two hits while Kevin Smith had a walk and a knock.
Connor Eller couged up a run over three innings. Juliandry Higuera got the win with three shutout frames, using two whiffs to offset a hit and a walk. William Ouellette gave up a run in the ninth but got the save.
Eugene 2 Vancouver 0
The C's have dropped three of four to start the season against the team they defeated in last year's Northwest League final. Even though Eugene committed four errors, the C's only had four hits. You can read more about the game

GCL Blue Jays 12 GCL Pirates 4
Gabriel Morena went 4-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI as the G-Jays won their season opener in Bradenton. 2018 first-round pick Jordan Groshans also went deep as part of a two-hit day. Leonardo JImenez had a pair of hits and a walk while Cal Stevenson had one knock and two walks.
Alejandro Melean allowed two unearned runs over four innings. Joey Pulido gave up one unearned run among two in his inning of work. Junior Hinojosa got the win and Nicholas "Funky Cold" Medina got the win and save respectively by pitching two shutout frames apiece.
DSL Blue Jays 6 DSL Diamondbacks 2
Miguel Hiraldo drove in two runs by going 1-for-4 with a double while Rainier Nunez had two hits and knocked home another. Jhon Solarte and Jose Rivas had a hit and a walk atop of the order with Rivas swiping a base.
Adrian Hernandez surrendered an unearned marker but struck out four over four frames. Williams Moreno was the winning pitcher with 2/1-3 innings of shutout ball in which he struck out three.
