Lansing was the only victor last night on the farm though did they ever mash. 21 hits and 15 runs. Shane Dawson had a nice start at AA New Hampshire and Max Pentecost had a solid night behind the plate and with the bat.
Buffalo Bisons
When I look at the box scores and see that Jason Leblebijian had three hits, as he did last night, a little part of me dies. Those long names give me fits and almost always butcher the spelling. Outside of the aforementioned Leblebijian not much of note happened in Buffalo. The team couldn’t catch the ball yesterday—four errors and all.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats
Shane Dawson pitched five innings of two-hit, one-run ball yesterday. The lone run though was enough to top the good guys as our AA batsmen were woeful with runners in scoring position.
Dunedin Blue Jays
Another four error game. Glenn Sparkman pitched three and a third, yielding three unearned. Max Pentecost doubled, had two RBIs, and threw out two runners. Two wild-pitches, however, were charged on his watch. It’s my understanding that catchers usually wear those in the eyes’ of coaches.
Lansing Lugnuts
21 hits and 15 runs for Lansing. All this without the popular Bo Bichette in the lineup. Fangraphs had a piece on Bichette yesterday.
Three Stars
3. Max Pentecost
2. Shane Dawson
1. Lansing batters sans Nick Sinay
