Conner Greene took the loss but went a season-long seven innings, giving up two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four. That's three starts in a row in which he has yielded two runs to chop his ERA down to 3.52. Nine of his 11 outs in play were on the ground. Tim Mayza has sliced his ERA down from 108.00 to 3.86 after recording his sixth straight scoreless appearance covering nine innings, striking out nine while walking one.
Tim Lopes had a two-hit night to push his batting average to .317 and extend his hitting streak to 10 games. He had six two-hit games, including four in a row at one point, to go along with six doubles, a triple and four stolen bases. Anthony Alford went 0-for-4.

Edward Olivares hit for the cycle, including his fourth home run of the season. That lifted his batting average to .217. J.B. Woodman went yard for the first time and added a double and a walk. He also struck out once, giving him 27 whiffs over 72 plate appearances which translates to a 38 percent strikeout rate. He's walked just four times so far. In spite of that, he's hitting .288 on the season. Bradley Jones was a homer short of the cycle, Bo Bichette singled and walked twice and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. doubled in five at-bats.Patrick Murphy was an out short of qualifying for the win. He gave up four runs on nine hits and three walks and the Midwest League is hitting .349 against him over his three starts. Philip Walby earned the victory with 1-1/3 shutout innings. Nick Hartman gave up a run over one inning after returning from a suspension related to a bench-clearning brawl. Jackson McClelland got the final six outs, two of them K's, to convert his third save in as many opportunities.
