On an otherwise night to forget down on the farm, Denis Diaz sparkled in six innings of work.
Buffalo 3 ROCHESTER 6
The Bisons lost, but Ryan Goins continues to hit as he doubled yesterday. Chris Colabello, who is still looking for the person who spiked his workout mix with a banned substance, is hitting .196. The Colabello over Valencia decision doesn’t look great.
BINGHAMTON 3 New Hampshire 2
The Fisher Cats lost, but Rowdy Tellez had three hits including two doubles. Jorge Saez had three hits as well. Jeremy Gabryszwski allowed three earned over five innings on eleven hits. Like to see what John Stilson’s velocity is at—anyone know?
DAYTONA 4 Dunedin 1
Dunedin played two yesterday and lost both. In game one, the Baby Jays were one-for-nine with RISP. Dickie Joe Thon had two doubles and stole a base. Chris Rowly went seven innings in relief.
DAYTONA 7 Dunedin 6
In game two, Anthony Alford homered and the Baby Jays again were abysmal with RISP—going two-for-twelve.
GREAT LAKES 5 Lansing 1
Justin Maese pitched six innings of two run baseball. He struck out five and walked one.
Spokane 0 VANCOUVER 4
Our first win on the night comes out in Vancouver, where the Canadians blanked the visiting Spokane squad. Denis Diaz pitched six shutout innings of one hit baseball.
BLUEFIELD 14 Pulaski 9
Bluefield made up for a lot of poor hitting on the farm last night by clocking 10 hits and scoring fourteen runs. It was an ugly game though as the two teams combined for six errors and ten unearned runs. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had a hit and two walks. Bradley Jones had two doubles and five RBIs.
GCL Tigers East 3 GCL BLUE JAYS 4
Mitch Nay made an appearance and struck out twice. Manuel Harazo had three hits and three RBIs.
