Conner Greene had the best of times through five innings, he was no-hitting Richmond. The sixth was the worst of times, Greene was pulled in the middle of the inning with four runs in, and he took the loss. Buffalo and Dunedin had come from behind wins. Lansing were opposites, they lost it in the ninth. Vancouver had a nice win, Bluefield lost in a rain shortened affair.

On to your three day weekend, abbreviated highlights.

Syracuse 5 Buffalo 6

Buffalo starter Chris Leroux surrendered a grand slam home run in the first inning but pitched well thereafter. Bo Schulz and Danny Barnes had 1-2-3 innings while Ryan Tepera loaded the bases before nailing down the save.

The top three in the order led the offense. Dalton Pompey, Ryan Goins and Darrell Ceciliani each had two hits. Goins has a seven game hitting streak and has raised his average from .200 to .327. Ceciliani had a home run and most of those hits came off Syracuse starter Lucas Giolito.

New Hampshire 1 Richmond 4

Conner Greene had a no hitter through five. The sixth went as follows...out, walk, single, single, passed ball, home run. Greene then walked the next hitter before being pulled. There were positives and presumably it was a learning experience.

New Hampshire had six hits, all singles, from six different hitters.

Jupiter 5 Dunedin 6

Dunedin scored two in the bottom of the ninth for the walk off win. Jorge Flores and Anthony Alford doubled to tie the game. Later in the inning Danny Jansen won it with a sac fly. Flores, Alford, Urena and Jonathan Davis each had two hits.

Francisco Rios started and went five innings with seven K's. Three hits and three walks led to four runs off him.

Lansing 2 Fort Wayne 3

Lansing trailed 1-0 from the first inning until the eighth. They tied the game in the eighth and went ahead in the ninth. However Kirby Snead gave up two runs in the bottom of the inning for a tough walk off loss. Ryan Borucki had a very good start, seven innings, eight hits, one run. He didn't walk anyone and struck out three.

Jake Thomas doubled in the tying run and was the only hitter with two hits. Connor Panas tripled and scored the go-ahead run.

Tri-City 1 Vancouver 3

Luis Sanchez went 5.2 innings for the win. He allowed one run. Zach Jackson pitched an inning with two hits allowed.

The Canadians were outhit by Tri-City 10-7. Jacob Anderson had two hits and drove in a run.

Bluefield 2 Burlington 3 - 5 innings

Rain shortened this game. Juliandry Higuera took the loss with three runs allowed in four innings.

Brad Jones hit a solo home run for the Jays. The other run came via walks and a wild pitch.

Three Stars

Third Star - Dalton Pompey, Ryan Goins and Darrell Ceciliani

Second Star - Anthony Alford

First Star - Ryan Borucki

Boxes

Rowdy Tellez is back off the DL. He had two hits on Saturday. Anthony Alford was 3-4 with a double and a home run. Jonathan Davis homered. SRF had nine K's in 6.2 innings. Angel Perdomo went five innings for Lansing, three runs, two earned.
