The affiliates won twice in five outings Tuesday with both victories coming against Tampa Bay farm clubs. Two losses came when the opponent scored 11 runs. The other was an extra-innings setback.
Buffalo 5 Durham 1
Buffalo, NY - Two fly balls by Matt Dominguez accounted for all five runs for the Herd to knock off the Rays affiliate. His first inning sacrifice fly opened the scoring to cash in a Dalton Pompey single and stolen base and his sixth inning grand slam ended it. That blast brought home a Junior Lake single, a Jio Mier walk and a David Adams hit by pitch.
Wade LeBlanc (7-2, 1.57) permitted just one unearned run on five hits and two walks over eight innings, ringing up 11 batters and producing seven groundball outs for a Game Score of 79. Bo Schultz ended the game with a strikeout to cap off a perfect ninth.
