Rochester, NY - Despite 12 hits, the Bisons could only manage a pair of runs against the Twins affiliate. Their first run came when Jesus Montero singled home an Andy Burns double in the first inning. Darrell Ceciliani drove in the other run in the sixth with a base hit to cash in a Domonic Brown double. David Adams had a 3-for-4 night and Dalton Pompey was 2-for-4 with a walk. Ceciliani also had a pair of hits. A.J. Jimenez and Alexi Casilla had one hit apiece. Casey Kotchman drew a walk.
Scott Diamond (4-6, 3.16) was roughed up by his former organization as he was burned by a pair of long balls. He lasted 6-1/3 innings, surrendering all five runs on six hits and two walks. Two of the runs were unearned after an error by Brown in right field. Diamond struck out six to go along with seven ground ball outs. Chad Girodo allowed an inherited run to score after giving up two hits in two-thirds of an inning. Dustin Antolin worked a perfect eighth.

Manchester, NH - Saying Shane Dawson (3-3, 3.91) did not have it would be an understatement. He was dummied for two homers, two doubles and two singles which resulted in four runs over 3-2/3 innings against the Giants affiliate. He struck out four but he walked three and hit a batter. Brady Dragmire was the complete opposite of Dawson. He stranded two runners with an inning-ending pop-up and struck out the side in the fifth. John Stilson overcame a hit to pitch a scoreless sixth but Colt Hynes coughed up a run on two hits with a pair of K's over two frames. Danny Barnes worked a one-hit ninth.
The Fisher Cats grabbed a first-inning lead when Ryan Lavarnway doubled home a Melky Mesa base hit. There was potential for a bigger inning when Roemon Fields drew a leadoff walk but he was cut down trying to get to third on Mesa's single. Lavarnway drove in the other two runs in the sixth with a two-run home run to plate a Rowdy Tellez walk. Lavarnway was a triple short of the cycle in a 3-for-3 night at the plate that also included a walk. Dwight Smith Jr. had two hits, including a double. Fields had a hit and two walks but was also caught stealing. Christian Lopes tripled while Ian Parmley and Jorge Flores both singled. Matt Dean donned the golden sombrero.
Lake County 7 Lansing 6
Eastlake, OH - The Lugnuts suffered the same fate as the parent club as they lost in walk-off fashion to the Indians affiliate. Dusty Isaacs (1-2) got the double whammy of a loss and a blown save. The trouble started with a leadoff walk and that was followed by another runner reaching base on a J.C. Cardenas error at second. After a strikeout, those runners came in to score on a double and a sacrifice fly respectively. Tayler Saucedo started this one and only made it through four innings, giving up a pair of two-run homers among six hits as well as two walks. He struck out four, recorded six groundball outs and picked off a runner at first. Patrick Murphy also gave up a solo dinger and another hit in his three innings of work but had a K-BB total of 2-1. Josh DeGraaf and Nate Abel teamed up to work a perfect eighth with Abel getting the final two outs.
The Lugnuts were down 4-0 before cutting that lead in half with two runs in the fourth. Ryan Hissey doubled and eventually scored on a wild pitch. Lane Thomas would then get aboard on a walk and scampered home on a triple by Jake Thomas, making his Lugnut debut after spending last year in the Gulf Coast League. Lane Thomas would strike again in the sixth with a two-run homer to score a Carl Wise double. Jake Thomas would follow with another extra-base hit but he would find himself stranded in scoring position once again. Lansing fought back to tie it again on a Gunnar Heidt sacrifice fly in the seventh before enjoying their first lead in the eighth on a Juan Kelly pinch-hit home run. Andrew Guillotte had a two-hit night and Cardenas was on base three times with a double and two walks. Max Pentecost was 1-for-5. Only Justin Atkinson did not record a hit as he went 0-for-3 before being pinch-hit for by Kelly.
