Lansing was the sole winner on the farm last night as Sean Reid-Foley exited after three innings of work. Conner Greene is Dunedin was hit around and Dalton Pompey was a late scratch due to injury in Buffalo.
ROCHESTER 4 Buffalo 0
Logan Darnell pitched a complete game four-hit shutout for the Twins affiliate. Darnell, oddly, struck no batter out and walked four. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a complete game shutout without a strikeout. For the Bisons Chris Leroux was solid over six innings. He allowed two runs, one earned.
Dalton Pompey did not play in this game. He was scratched due to a reported bruised heel.
TAMPA 5 Dunedin 4
Conner Greene got hit around over five and two-thirds. His final line reads 10 hits, five runs, four earned, three walks, one strikeout, and two homeruns. Michael Bourn was hitless. Bo Schultz made his 2016 debut. He pitched a shutout inning in relief. Richard Urena had a hit and stole a base.
LANSING 6 Beloit 1
As Mike Green alluded to in a previous post, Sean Reid-Foley pitched just three innings in this game. There was no mention as to why in the official write-up to this game. Reid-Foley exited with five strikeouts and an earned run charged. He was relieved by an excellent Conor Fisk, who pitched five scoreless innings. Andrew Guillotte was one base three times and scored twice as the leadoff hitter. Guillotte along with five other runners stole seven bases on the evening. Four out of the six Lansing runs came on two-out hits.
