A no-win Tuesday on the farm as the affiliates went 0-3 despite one of them racking up 19 hits and seven walks. Another game saw an ex-Jays catcher homer twice. Lansing's game was rained out. That will be made up as part of a doubleheader today.

Durham, NC — A two-home run night by former Jay J.P. Arencibia led the Braves affiliate to victory. Arencibia's first blast snapped a 0-0 tie against Bisons starter Andrew Albers (1-4, 2.86). That was the only run Albers allowed in five innings. He gave up five hits and two walks. He struck out five and got six groundball outs. Rob Rasmussen was rocked for three runs in two-thirds of an inning and Gregory Infante was impaled for two home runs in his two-thirds of a inning and permitted one of two inherited runners to score. Colt Hynes stranded a runner and retired the only two hitters he faced. The Bulls got to Bobby Korecky for an unearned run in the ninth.
Munenori Kawasaki was 1-for-1 with two walks while Kevin Nolan singled and drew a free pass. Brad Glenn had the lone extra-base hit and Matt Hague had the other hit. Dalton Pompey and Andy Burns were 0-for-8 at the top of the order. A.J. Jimenez and Caleb Gindl were both 0-for-3.
Reading 11 New Hampshire 9
Reading, PA — The Phillies affiliate scored a converted touchdown against Austin Bibens-Dirkx (1-1, 15.75) in three innings. Former Vancouver Canadian Art Charles hit one of two homers against Bibens-Dirx, who was bombed for nine hits and a walk. He struck out five. Arik Sikula went one-plus innings and was soaked for four more runs and five hits and a walk. Luis Perez settled things down with three scoreless frames in which he worked around a hit, a walk and a hit batsman with four strikeouts. Perez also stranded a runner and got four outs on the grass. Cory Burns struck out two in the ninth.
The Fisher Cats tried to chip away at a 7-0 deficit by unleashing a 19-hit attack. Jorge Flores had a run-scoring single and a double as part of a four-hit night. Pierce Rankin had three hits, a walk and a sacrifice fly while Jake Fox got aboard four times with two hits and two walks. Reaching base three times were K.C. Hobson with a 3-for-6 night; Christian Lopes with two hits, a walk and a sac fly; Jon Berti with two hits, a bases-loaded walk and a sacrifice fly and Emilio Guerrero with two hits and a base on balls. Dwight Smith Jr. had a hit and a walk while Matt Newman was 0-for-5 but drove in two with a ground ball and a fly ball. The Fisher Cats were 5-for-17 with runners in scoring position and left a whopping 17 runners on base.
Tampa 9 Dunedin 3
Tampa, FL — The Yankees also got their revenge on the Jays in the FSL. Murphy Smith (0-2, 6.88) was smacked around for five runs on eight hits and a walk over four innings. The Yankees tacked on an unearned run against Alberto Tirado on two hits and a hit batter over his two innings but he struck out three. Brady Dragmire was dummied for the other three runs on six hits and a walk in the seventh. Chad Girodo had the only scoreless appearance with a one-walk eighth that featured two strikeouts.
Mitch Nay got Dunedin on the board with a sacrifice fly in the seventh. An error and a Dawel Lugo ground ball plated the other two runs in the ninth. David Harris and Ian Parmley had two-hit nights and a walk with Harris getting a double and Parmley stealing a base. L.B. Dantzler also reached base three times with two hits and a walk. Derrick Loveless walked twice. Matt Dean doubled, Mike Reeves singled and Nay walked. Dickie Joe Thon was 0-for-4 but scored a run.
