Allentown, PA - The Herd nearly coughed up a six-run lead but they managed to hold on. The Bisons started the scoring in the third with a Ryan Schimpf RBI double and a Cory Aldridge two-run single. Schimpf slammed a two-run home run in the fourth. Kevin Pillar singled home a run in the fifth and he came in to score on a Brad Glenn double. Glenn had a four-hit game while Schimpf, Aldridge, Mike McDade and Andy LaRoche had two apiece. Schimpf was hit by a pitch to reach base three times while Pillar walked to get aboard twice. Jonathan Diaz had a single. Jared Goedert and A.J. Jimenez was 0-for-5 but he did steal his first base of the year.Radhames Liz could not make it through five innings, lasting just 4.1 frames. He was roughed up for all six runs on eight hits and two walks but struck out four and induced six ground ball outs. Ryan Tepera (4-3) allowed an inherited run to score but pitched 1.2 innings of one-hit ball with all of his outs coming via the strikeout. Chad Jenkins threw two perfect frames and Bobby Korecky was perfect in the ninth for his 13th save.

Manchester, NH - The Fisher Cats and the Yankees affiliate were in a scoreless duel until the bottom of the sixth when Kevin Nolan delivered a two-out RBI single. They got two more runs with another two-out hit - a double by Sean Ochinko in the eighth. Nolan, Andy Burns and Dalton Pompey led the attack with two hits apiece with Pompey getting a double. Nolan and Pompey both had stolen bases. Michael Crouse singled while Jon Berti and Derrick Chung drew walks. Jorge Flores was 0-for-3.Scott Copeland (6-7) supplied eight shutout innings and only had four baserunners to deal with in the form of three hits and a walk. He struck out four and racked up 16 outs on the ground. Gregory Infante pitched a one-hit ninth with one strikeout for his 14th save.
Bradenton 1 Dunedin 0
Bradenton, FL - Kendall Graveman (8-4) battled over his 6.2 innings, limiting the Pirates affiliate to just a first-inning run. He scattered eight hits and two walks with two K's and 13 ground ball outs. Chad Girodo stranded two Graveman runners by striking out the only batter he faced. Ben White set down the side in order in the eighth.
Ian Parmley had the lone extra-base hit for the Jays. Gustavo Pierre tried to score on Parmley's double in the seventh but was thrown out at the plate. Pierre, Nick Baligod, Dwight Smith Jr. and Peter Mooney had the other hits. Kevin Patterson and Santiago Nessy both had a base on balls.

Vancouver, BC - The C's second-half of the season got off to a rough start. They actually led this one 2-0 on a Boomer Collins two-run single in the second. When they scored again in the fourth on a Collins RBI double, they were down 6-3 in the fourth. Collins and Ryan McBroom had two hits in this one. Max Pentecost had a single in four trips to the plate but Franklin Barreto was 0-for-4.
Zak Wasilewski (2-3) was whacked for six runs, which all came in the third inning. An Alexis Maldonado error at third made one of those runs unearned. Wasilewski got through five innings in which the Diamondbacks affiliate got six hits and two walks along with a hit by pitch. He struck out a pair and 10 of his 11 outs in play were on the grass. Kamakani Usui was upended for four runs in one inning but two were unearned on a Barreto error at short after a double steal of home and second was pulled off by the Hops. Mark Biggs was mauled for three more runs in two innings before Jose Fernandez calmed things down with a shutout ninth. The C's made six errors - two each by Maldonado and Barreto.
Bluefield 7 Elizabethton 2
Bluefield, WV - The Jays scored the game's first five runs, starting with a Josh Almonte two-run triple in the third inning. A James Lynch ground ball plated another run in the fourth before Almonte and Rowdy Tellez singled home runs in the fifth. Almonte collected his fourth RBI with a single in the seventh while Angel Rojas singled home another run in the eighth. Gabriel Cenas had the other multi-hit effort with two singles and a walk. Richard Urena doubled and walked while Rojas and Austin Davis both had a base hit and a base on balls.Evan Smith (2-1) spun six solid innings of shutout ball as he worked his away around six hits and two walks. He struck out five and 10 of his 11 outs in play did not leave the infield. Carlos Ramirez gave up the only two runs in the seventh but they were unearned due to a Cenas error at third. Ramirez struck out a pair while Chase Wellbrock whiffed three over two perfect frames.
GCL Astros 4 GCL Blue Jays 2
Kissimmee, FL - This was a scoreless game until the seventh when the Jays broke out on top. A Dave Pepe ground out cashed in a Freddy Rodriguez triple gave the Jays a 1-0 lead. Their next run did not come until the ninth when Pepe doubled home a Rodriguez single. Pepe, Rodriguez and Angel Gomez had two-hit efforts with Rodriguez adding a walk and Pepe stealing a base. Lane Thomas singled, walked and stole a base. Juan Tejada had the other hit. Yeltsin Gudino and Gunnar Heidt were both 0-for-4.
Jacob Brentz contributed four scoreless innings by allowing just four hits and a walk. He struck out four and got five outs on the ground. Daniel Rodriguez (0-3) gave up all four runs in his four innings on six hits and a walk while whiffing two.
DSL Angels 6 DSL Blue Jays 5
San Pedro de Macoris, DR - The Jays could not make it all the way back in this one as they tried to overcome a 5-1 deficit with a surge in the late innings. They scored first when a Miguel Almonte ground out cashed in a three-base error in the first. The offence did not respond again until the eighth when Enmanuel Moreta doubled home a pair of runs. Moreta would score on a Ronniel Demorizi single to cut the Halos lead to 5-4. Leudy Garcia drove one home in the ninth with a single but the Jays could not do anything with runners at first and third with nobody out. Edward Olivares had a triple and two walks. Almonte and Moreta had a double and a walk. Demorizi also walked to reach base twice.
Jose Nova (1-2) gave up a run an inning over three frames on five hits and two walks. His strikeout and groundout totals were four apiece. Erick Hurtado walked a couple but pitched a couple of scoreless frames. Jairo Rosario was roughed up for two runs over two frames and Wilmin Lara was nicked for a run in the ninth.
