Taylor Cole returned to action tonight with a fine start in Florida while Aaron Sanchez turned in another solid outing in Buffalo. A stellar tandem start in Bluefield was the highlight of the evening, however (IMO), as the affiliates went 3-5.

Aaron Sanchez was solid over six innings of work throwing just 83 pitches, 55 of which were strikes, while collecting ten groundouts and six strikeouts. His “talking to” from Eric Kratz seems to have worked. Offensively, Anthony Gose had three hits while Brad Glenn doubled in a losing effort.
New Britain 4 New Hampshire 0
Matt Boyd was unspectacular pitching five innings of four run ball. The offence was not much better, collecting just five hits. Dalton Pompey had one of those hits as he continues to adjust to AA.
Dunedin 7 Daytona 4
Taylor Cole was very good over five innings of work. He struck out seven and allowed just three hits and two walks. Dwight Smith Jr. tripled and homered to lead the way for the victorious Baby Jays.
Lansing 4 Lake County 5
Dickie Joe Thon, Matt Dean, and Mitch Nay had two hits apiece. Dean homered, as did Davis Harris who was hitting in the nine spot tonight. Shane Dawson was banged around a wee bit over four and a third innings of work. He allowed five earned runs.
Vancouver 10 Everett 1
Vancouver romped to victory behind a pair of Franklin Barreto doubles, three hits from Roemon Fields, and two hits apiece from Jonathan Davis and Tim Locastro.
Bristol 0 Bluefield 4
Daniel Lietz and Jesus Tinoco combined to shutout the Pirates affiliate. A Josh Almonte big fly from the home team was the base knock of note.
GCL Blue Jays 1 GCL Pirates 6
Juan Kelly and Angel Gomez had two hits each to lead the offence and on the mound starter Grayson Huffman pitched three shutout innings, however, such efforts were not enough to propel the GCL squad to victory.
