The affiliates today were 3-1 highlighted by an offensive outburst from Dunedin, and a strong performance from DJ Davis in Lansing. Dunedin won again, improving their record to 15-4.
Buffalo 0 – Scranton WB 5
Kyle Drabek started for the Bisons today, Kyle threw 5.2 innings giving up 2 unearned runs on 5 hits, with 3 walks, and 4 strikeouts. Bobby Korecky pitched a scoreless 1.1 innings, and Chad Jenkins gave up 3 earned runs over 1 inning.
The Bisons were unable to score any runs today, but Kevin Pillar was the lone bright star today having 3 hits including a double.
New Hampshire 7 – New Britain 5
Aaron Sanchez continued to have control issues which lead him to giving up 4 runs (2 earned) over 4 innings on 4 hits, with 4 walks, and 3 strikeouts. Richard Bleier and Gregory Infante followed with 5 combined scoreless innings.
AJ Jimenez knocked in 2 runs, and Andy Burns was 2-3 with 3 runs scored, a double, triple, and a walk.
Dunedin 12 – Lakeland 4
Dunedin continued to roll scoring 15 runs thanks to contributions from everyone in the lineup. Dalton Pompey and KC Hobson each had a home run in the offensive outburst.
On the pitching side Jesse Hernandez gave up 4 runs over 6 innings. Danny Barnes, Efrain Nieves, and Black McFarland each followed with a scoreless inning.
Lake County 5 – Lansing 6
Today Adonys Cardona got the start with his piggy-back partner Chase De Jong. Adonys was hit hard giving up 4 runs (3 earned) on 5 hits over 2.2 innings with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. Chase had some control issues but pitched 3 scoreless innings, with 2 hits, 3 walks, and 3 strikeouts.
DJ Davis had a monster game going 2-5 with a triple, with 5 RBIs.
