The affiliates were 1-3 today, with the only win coming from Dunedin(8-2) as they continue to play well early in the season. Aaron Sanchez, and Sean Nolin had disappointing starts in AA, and AAA respectively.
Pawtucket 7 – Buffalo 5 (12 Innings)
Sean Nolin had a disappointing start in which he gave up 4 earned runs over 5 innings. Over the 5 innings, Sean allowed 4 hits, on 5 walks, and 7 strikeouts. Over the next 7 innings, Mickey Storey, John Stilson, and Rob Rasmussen made appearances. Finally Chad Jenkins was credited with the loss after a Brett Carroll error lead to two unearned runs.
The Bisons managed to score 5 runs on 3 hits which included a 3 run home run by Dan Johnson.
Binghampton 6 – New Hampshire 0
Aaron Sanchez had his 3rd start for New Hampshire today, and it wasn’t pretty. Aaron lasted 3.2 innings giving up 3 earned runs on 4 hits, with 4 walks, and 4 strikeouts.
On the offensive side, the Fisher Cats only managed to have 5 hits, which included a double from Ryan Schimpf, and a triple from Mike Crouse.
Brevard County 2 – Dunedin 6
KC Hobson, and Kevin Patterson each had 2 run HR’s off of Brevard starter Hobbs Johnson.
On the pitching side, Kramer Champlin pitched 2.1 innings giving up 2 runs. He was followed by Justin Jackson pitching 3.2 scoreless innings, and Chad Girodo who pitched 3 scoreless innings.
Cedar Rapids 6 – Lansing 2
Tom Robson had another rough start today; he gave up 4 earned runs over 4 innings on 4 hits, with 2 walks, and 3 strikeouts. Alonzo Gonzalez, Jimmy Cordero, and Scott Silverstein followed with 5 combined innings giving up two runs.
Dickie Thon, DJ Davis, and Carlos Ramirez each had a double, in a slow night for the Lugnuts as they only scored two runs.
