The affiliates finished with three wins in five tries Tuesday night with all starting pitching performances rating from awesome to half-decent. The GCL Blue Jays had a doubleheader rained out while Dunedin and Bluefield had the day off.

Buffalo 3 Charlotte 1 (10 Innings)

Charlotte, NC — The Bisons tied the game at 1-1 in the seventh when Sean Ochinko singled home a Eugenio Velez double. Ochinko scored the winning run in the 10th when Ramon Hernandez singled off of former Jays lefty David Purcey. Mike McCoy bunted home another run to score an Anthony Gose base knock. Ochinko was the only Bison to get on base twice as he drew a walk. Kevin Pillar and Jim Negrych both had base hits. Ryan Goins was 0-for-5 and Mauro Gomez was 0-for-4.

Dave Bush held the White Sox affiliate to a single run on four hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out nine. Mickey Storey pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings with two hits and two strikeouts. Tommy Hottovy stranded a runner for Storey but walked one in one-third of a frame. Joel Carreno (2-1) bailed out Storey and Hottovy by striking out the only hitter he faced to strand their baserunners to end the ninth. Brad Lincoln struck out one in the 10th to earn his fourth save.

New Britain, CTMarcus Stroman (4-2) dominated the Twins affiliate with a quality start that featured 13 punchouts in 6 2/3 innings. The C's kept their first-half playoff hopes alive by beating up the first-place AquaSox with a 17-hit attack. The win puts Vancouver four games back of the Mariners affiliate. Michael Reeves singled home the first run of the game in the third inning and a wild pitch saw another run cross the plate. A Brenden Kalfus sac fly in the sixth scored Ian Parmley, who singled, stole second and went to third on a throwing error by the catcher.
