Buffalo won with some strong performances. Jim Negrych, Eugenio Velez and Mauro Gomez played big roles and Anthony Gose hit a two run home run. Dave Bush and Neil Wagner were the pitching stars. New Hampshire fell short, Dunedin were semi-rained out, Lansing had a nice come from behind win as Christian Lopes continued to hit.

Buffalo 7 Louisville 5

The Bisons got out to a fast start. In the first inning Mauro Gomez doubled in Jim Negrych and Moises Sierra, both of whom had singled. Buffalo added three more runs in the second on two home runs. Eugenio Velez had a solo shot and Anthony Gose a two run shot.

Dave Bush started on short rest in Ramon Ortiz's spot. His main problem was the Reds speedster Billy Hamilton who hit his first two home runs of the season, both solo shots. Bush went six innings and left with a 6-2 lead. Chad Beck came out for the seventh and gave up three runs. He had to be saved by Neil Wagner who came into a bases loaded one out situation and got out of the jam and got the next six outs too. Wagner got 8 outs, 6 via strikeouts.

Negrych, Sierra, Velez and Gomez had 2 hits each. Gose was 1-4 with a walk and no K's.

New Hampshire 2 Trenton 3

This was a pitchers duel. Ryan Tepera went five innings, gave up one run on three hits. Meanwhile the Fisher Cat offense was quiet too, they were shutout until the ninth inning. An error, 3 walks and a hit made it a one run game, with the bases loaded and Kevin Pillar up to bat. But then a pitch got away from the catcher, Adam Loewen broke for home and was out at the plate, game over.

Ryan Schimpf and Loewen had two hits each.

Dunedin at Daytona - suspended

This game was called due to rain in the third inning. Dunedin had gone 9 up 9 down to that point. The game will be finished Saturday before the regular game.

Lansing 7 Dayton 4

Alonzo Gonzalez had a good'ish start. He did pitch six innings but he gave up eight hits, two walks and he hit a batter. Dayton had baserunners in every inning. The Lugnuts put the first two hitters on base in each of the first two innings and scored one run in each of those innings. But the Luggies broke it open with four in the sixth highlighted by Christian Lopes two run double. Lopes added a home run in the seventh inning to make it a 7-3 game.

Shane Opitz had three hits. Lopes had two with 3 RBI's.
