New Hampshire and Dunedin were the winners, Lansing the losers and Buffalo were all wet. Austin Bibens-Dirkx got back on track with the Fisher Cats. Ryan Schimpf and Kevin Pillar had home runs, Pillar had to leg his out. Jesse Hernandez was outstanding for Dunedin, as was Jon Berti. Taylor Cole and Alonzo Gonzalez were roughed up in Fort Wayne.

Buffalo at Lehigh Valley - postponed

Binghamton 2  New Hampshire 5

New Hampshire scored in each of the first three innings and led 4-1. Ryan Schimpf hit a solo home run in the first, Kevin Pillar hit an inside the park home run in the third. The Fisher Cats scored two in the second with a double by Ochinko and a single from Adam Loewen being the big hits. NH added an insurance run in the fifth, thanks to the usual suspects. John Tolisano, Kenny Wilson and Kevin Pillar each singled to start the inning. The run scored on a bases loaded walk.

Austin Bibens-Dirkx rebounded from a rough start by pitching seven strong innings. Pillar was the only hitter with two hits.

Dunedin 3  Lakeland 1

Jon Berti singled to lead off the game and scored on a sac fly. Jesse Hernandez took that one run and made it stand up. Then in the fourth inning KC Hobson and Marcus Knecht singled. Derrick Chung delivered a two out single and Berti another.

Hernandez did gave up a run in the sixth inning and was pulled after six. Scott Gracey pitched the last three innings for the save. Berti and Chung had two hits each.

Lansing 3 Fort Wayne 7

Taylor Cole was somewhat lucky to leave the game after five innings with a 3-2 lead. Cole had allowed nine base runners in his five innings but just two runs scored. With all the rain the Lansing starters have been short of work so Alonzo Gonzalez came on in relief of Cole. Gonzalez had a tough night, he couldn't escape the sixth inning and he conceded four runs. Fort Wayne outhit the Lugnuts 15-5.

The offense was spread around, Dalton Pompey drove in the first run. Chris Hawkins tripled and scored the second run. Kellen Sweeney doubled and scored when Santiago Nessy singled.
