On a 3-2 day/night on the Farm, Third Baseman turned Catcher (but playing 3B) Seth Conner hit his second homer of the year and the only one anyone in the system hit on Thursday.

Las Vegas had the night off, and Lansing was rained out. Here's a look at the rest.

New Hampshire 0, Erie 6

The top hitters in the lineup each went 1 for 4 and the rest went 0 for 3 with only Jake Marisnick's double breaking up the symmetry of the box score.  Meanwhile, on the mound Deck McGuire's off-again on-again season was off. Again. Twelve hits and six runs in five innings of work can't be spun as anything other than ugly.

Dunedin 7, Brevard County 2

The D-Jays featured more offensive efficiency than the F-Cats. Jon Jones and Jon Talley both produced three hits in four and five  at bats respectively, both latter throwing in 3 RBI for good measure. Talley was joined by Kevin Pillar and Marcus Knecht in doubling.
Sean Nolin got his first start since coming off the DL (having took over for the re-habbing Brandon Morrow on two previous occasions) on Thursday. Given his previous work it was not the best night for him on the mound, giving up two earned runs in three IP but in the context of what is basically rehab still at this point, it's to be expected. But the bullpen took over and combined for 6 shutout innings to slam the door on the opposition.

Vancouver 1, Tri-Cities 5

Local favorite second baseman Jorge Flores picked up 2 of the teams 3 hits including a double. Catcher Dan Klien provided the third. Kelen Sweeney did manage to draw a walk.
Lefty Kyle Anderson had fallen on hard times after an impressive start to his season Through his first five appearances he had a 2.50 but then he gave up 12 earned runs combined over his next three outings. On Thursday he regained his footing by pitching five innings of one-run ball. Unfortunately, Jon Lucas came in for the sixth and gave it all away Four earned runs crossed the plate and Lucas didn't get out of the sixth. That was far more than enough to defeat the Canadians.

Bluefield 3, Princton 0

Conner's 2 run homer powered the only inning in which any rus scored in this game, driving in Christian Lopes who had just doubled in Chino Vega . A Santiago Nessy double was the only other extra base hit.
Righty Tucker Jensen did his part by throwing six shutout innings allowing three hits and no walks.

GCL Blue Jays 7, Tigers 5

bonus babies Gabriel Cenas and Jesus Gonzalez both went 2 for 4 with a double and CF Derrik Loveless also doubled. Gonzalez and SS Justin Atkinson each had 2 RBI. Alonzo Gonzalez pitched five good innings giving up 2 runs, one of them earned.
