All-Star Tuesday was a day off for everybody in the system, except for the boys in the Gulf Coast and Dominican Summer Leagues.

GCL Phillies 7 GCL Blue Jays 3 (7 Innings)

Clearwater, FL
- The Phillies got to Alberto Tirado (0-1) for four runs on six hits and a walk over 2 1/3 innings.  He struck out a pair and split his four outs in play evenly on the ground and in the air.  Luis Mendez allowed an inherited runner to score over his two-thirds of an inning in which he gave up a hit and struck out a batter.  Lefty Zak Adams surrendered the other three runs on three hits and four walks over 1 1/3 innings while striking out one.  Adams' line would have been worse if not for fellow lefty Francisco Gracesqui, who stranded the bases loaded and retired the only two hitters he faced.  Wil Browning finished up with a one-hit inning that included one punchout.

A Trey Pascazi fielder's choice accounted for the Jays first run in the second inning with the other two runs courtesy of a Jesus Gonzalez two-run double in the fifth.  Gonzalez was thrown out at third on the play.  Gonzalez and George Carroll had two-hit games and Derrick Loveless reached twice with a hit and a walk.  Dennis Jones and Justin Atkinson were both 1-for-4.  Alexys Rodriguez drew a walk in three trips to the plate.  Pascazi, Gabriel Cenas and Shaun Valeriote were a collective 0-for-9.

DSL Blue Jays 4 DSL Brewers 1 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)

San Pedro de Macoris, DR - Baseball with baseball's Jonathan Torres!  The lefty allowed just a first inning run over three innings despite three hits and four walks.  Torres had two Ks, two groundouts and two flyouts.  Lefty Carlos Rodriguez (2-2) pitched the final four innings for the win, holding the Brew Crew in check by scattering three hits.  He rung up a couple of batters and paired that with an impressive 7-1 groundout/flyout total.

The Blue Jays finally got on the board in the fifth inning when Luis Martin singled home a pair of runs.  They tacked on two more runs on a Rolando Segovia groundout and an Edwin Fuentes single.  Martin had two hits and a stolen base while Fuentes, Cesar Barazarte and Juan Tejada reached twice with a single and a walk.  Angel Rojas had the other base hit while Leudy Garcia and Andres Sotillo collected a base on balls.  Segovia was 0-for-4 with an RBI but Andres De Aza was 0-for-3.

DSL Brewers 4 DSL Blue Jays 0 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

San Pedro de Macoris, DR
- Southpaw Oscar Cabrera blanked the Beer Boys over five frames to two hits and a walk.  He struck out three and induced eight groundball outs.  Cabrera mowed down nine of 10 hitters during one stretch and he erased that baserunner by picking him off at first.  Francis Eduardo (3-1) worked a one-hit sixth but the roof caved in on him during the seventh when he gave up three runs.  He allowed three hits and a walk over 1 1/3 innings and struck out one.  Simon Paulino saw one of his two hits go over the fence for a solo homer in his two-thirds of an inning.

Gustavo Perinen
had the Jays only extra-base hit of the doubleheader with a double.  Leudy Garcia was the only Jay to get on base twice with a single and a walk.  Angel Rojas and Ronniel Demorizi had the other base hits.  Juan Kelly was 0-for-2 with a walk while Deiferson Barreto, Cesar Barazarte and Kervin Santiago were a combined 0-for-9.  Luis Martin was 0-for-2.
