A full slate of games saw the affiliates go 5-3 while a top pitching prospect had one of the best starts of his career.

Sacramento 2    Las Vegas 7

Travis D'Arnaud, Yan Gomes, and Moises Sierra led the way for the 51s with two hits apiece. One of D'Arnaud's was a triple. Adam Lind homered for the 8th time while Travis Snider was 1-for-4 with a walk. Anthony Gose had a rough night going 0-for-5 with four punchouts.

Sean O'Sullivan made his Las Vegas debut and impressed to the tune of six shutout innings allowing just three hits. He didn't walk anyone and struck out four. Chad Beck pitched a scoreless ninth.



Harrisburg 1    New Hampshire 2


Mark Sobolewski and Sean Ochinko each went 2-for-4 with a double in helping the Fisher Cats come from behind for a late inning victory. Brians Van Kirk and Bocock pitched in with a pair of hits each, as well while Kenan Bailli had the remaining hit for New Hampshire.

Yohan Pino started and went six strong frames allowing a run on three hits and three walks against five strikeouts. Sam Dyson allowed a hit and walked one in picking up his second save.



Dunedin 3    Brevard County 4


The D-Jays managed just five hits on Saturday but three of them came off the bat of Ryan Schimpf who singled twice, homered, and drove in three. Jake Marisnick was 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout.

Ryan Teperea started and struggled allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over four innings.



Great Lakes 1    Lansing 2

Saturday was Noah Syndergaard's first chance to go five innings and boy did he. Syndergaard allowed just a double and a hit batsman against seven strikeouts in his five innings and left with a 1-0 lead. Tyler Ybarra promptly blew the lead in the top of the sixth but the Lugnuts scored the winning run in the bottom half of the frame.

Andy Burns was 3-for-4 with a double while K.C. Hobson had a perfect night going 2-for-2 with two doubles and two walks.



Tri-City 4    Vancouver 7

Balbino Fuenmayor continued to swing a hot bat going 3-for-3 with a homer and four RBI. Kellen Sweeney went 1-for-3 with a double.

Five pitchers took the hill for the Canadians including starter Colton Turner who went 3.1 innings and allowed two runs on two hits and two walks against six strikeouts.



Johnson City 4    Bluefield 5

Jacob Anderson and Christian Lopes each had two hits. Lopes chipped in with both his second triple and second homer while Anderson contributed his first double. Matt Dean tripled for his only hit in three trips.

Tucker Jensen started and went five allowing three runs on five hits and a walk.
