Lots of good news in the Big Easy. Anthony Gose, Travis D'Arnaud, and Adeiny Hechavarria all hit their 3rd homers of the year. Yan Gomes added his fourth. Gose was the big star going 4-for-5 with three runs scored and his 14th stolen base. Travis Snider went 0-for-4 with a walk.
Jesse Chavez continued his fantastic campaign with eight shutout frames allowing just three hits. He struck out five.
Binghamton 0 New Hampshire 9
The good times continued in AA. The Fisher Cats provided a balance attack with every starter picking up a hit. John Tolisano was 2-for-4 while Mark Sobolewski smacked his seventh homer.
Yohan Pino dominated the Binghamton hitters with six shutout frames. He walked one and allowed three hits against seven strikeouts. Sam Dyson made his AA debut by pitching a scoreless seventh. It wasn't uneventful, however as he allowed three hits.
Clearwater 7 Dunedin 5
John Stilson started this one and got knocked around a bit. He lasted 4.2 frames and allowed four runs (three earned) on ten hits. On the other side of things, he walked just one and struck out five.
The D-Jays managed just five hits (and eight walks) and all five came from the top four hitters. Jake Marisnick swung the biggest bat going 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI. Kevin Ahrens walked twice and quietly has his OBP up to .381. I know, I know......
Lansing 16 Dayton 4
Where to begin? Well, how about with Kevin Pillar who went 6-for-6 with a double, grand slam, a stolen base, 6 RBI and 3 runs scored. Carlos Perez was 2-for-6 with a 3-run homer and Chris Hawkins picked up three hits. A lot went on, so just click the link above for all the details.
Anthony DeSclafani started and allowed two runs (one earned) on eight hits and a walk over four innings. He struck out four. Noah Syndergaard picked him up in relief and allowed two runs on five hits with a walk and seven strikeouts in his four innings.
