Opera Bob's is starting their series of "JAYS DAYS" and I thought it would be a good opportunity for a beer club. Check the details below.
Here's the e-mail I got from Opera Bob's:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
JAYS DAYS LAUNCH AT OPERA BOB’S
Re-creating the stadium experience while the boys are away
Beginning Friday, June 17, Opera Bob’s — the best baseball-watching bar in the city, according to the National Post — will host a six‐game series of “Jays Days,” (Free hotdogs on Opening Day.)
Jays Days will include a gameday host, MLB trivia, prize giveaways, ballpark dogs (free dogs on Opening Day), bagged popcorn, peanuts and other food and drink specials. Fans will also be treated to full-game audio and the comforting voices of Buck Martinez and Pat Tabler.
“In a town where hockey is boss, Opera Bob's willingness to not only tolerate, but embrace Toronto's baseball community has made it a sunny oasis in this city's otherwise icy world of watching sports at a bar,” said Dustin Parkes, co-founder of popular baseball blog, Drunk Jays Fans.
Opera Bob’s co-owner Will Kopplin looks forward enjoying a bar atmosphere found in baseball hotbeds across North America. “I want to do my part to rekindle the pride this city had in the Jays in '92 and '93."

We'll skip this Friday (at least as an official beer club, I'm not saying you can't go!) because it's too short notice, so next Friday (the 24th) it is. We'll try to get there early and scout out a big table for the BB crew. Let me know if you're planning on attending so I can get a handle on how big our group will be. I expect these Jays Days to be pretty busy.
