Title says it all. Brad Mills has been recalled.

1. News. From John Lott's Twitter (edit - hat tip to Mike Green and Christopher):

Jesse Litsch is out for the season with a "labral tear in the right hip."

Jose Molina is starting tonight.

2. Ramblings!

Edwin Encarnacion needs a new nickname. He's not making nearly enough throwing errors to be called E5 anymore. Unfortunately, it's a challenge because Encarnacion is cursed by his name. I can't come up with anything that doesn't have E in it.

J.P. Arencibia is in the house. Exciting! With Brandon Morrow starting Sunday and a DGANG tomorrow, it's likely that he will sit twice in this series. Maybe that's reasonable. Still, it's always nice to see a big-time offensive prospect in person. Maybe he'll pinch hit tonight.

How would we feel if the Blue Jays brought John Buck back for 2011 and put Arencibia on a Jorge Posada-type development plan? (If they can't get Buck cheaply, replace him with some similar veteran quasi-starter.) You'd let Arencibia start half the time, plus a few DH appearances, while getting accustomed to being around a big-league team. If he set the world on fire with his bat, you could always make him the clear #1. I probably wouldn't play it this way because getting a compensation pick for Buck appeals to me, and honestly, I'd rather have Arencibia playing almost all the time wherever he is. I'd just hesitate to give Arencibia the pressure of being anointed full-time starter right away with only Jose Molina and prospects as plan B. That might be unreasonable on my part.

It's hard to say anything without seeing Arencibia in action, of course.

Brett Cecil and Matt Garza tonight. Rays -120, first pitch 7:07.
