New Hampshire had 20 hits and lost while none of the other three afiliates did more than half that number while all emerging victorious.

Brad Mills was sharp, pitching into the 7th, and the 51s got enough offense to secure the W. Mills final line was 6 innings pitched with 2 earned runs, 7 hits, 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. 10 of his 12 balls in play for outs were on the ground, always a good sign, and his ratio on the year stands at 6 to 5 GB to FB. Jeremy Accardo, Sean Henn and David Purcey each contributed a scoreless frame with Accardo getting the save. On the offensive side of the ledger Jarrett Hoffpauir, Luis Figueroa and Kyle Phillips each had 2 hits, with Hoffpauir's being doubles scoring 3. JPA went 1 for 4 with a double, and Brett Wallace went hitless.
Any way you slice it this was an odd affair. New Hampshire outhit Trenton 20-13 and outhomered them 2-0 and still fell short. 27 of the 33 combined hits were singles and the teams totalled 15 walks. Trenton did all their scoring in the 3rd-5th innings, on an awful lot of singles, as one might imagine, with a couple of walks thrown in for good measure. The victim(s) were Luis Perez who gave up 7 runs in four innings on 5 walks and 8 hits (3 k's) and B.J. LaMura who walked 3 against 1 k with 3 hits - he allowed an earned and unearned run on a Brian Jeroloman throwing error. As for the Fisher Cats, well, it wasn't pretty. They had at least two runners on each inning, made two outs on the basepaths and grounded into 2 double plays. They also left 16 runners on base - thats almost 2 an inning. As one might expect there were a number of offensive stars. Darin Mastroianni had 4 singles and stole a base, Eric Thames, Shawn Bowman and Brad Emaus 3 apiece with a HR for Emaus, and Jeroloman and Adam Calderone each had 2, with Jeroloman going yard. and Calderone drawing a walk.
A rehabbing Brian Tallet threw 4 scoreless innings allowing 3 baserunners and striking out 3. Kenny Rodriguez picked up the win with 2.2 scoreless innings, also striking out 3 against 2 walks and 2 hits, Alan Farina retired all 4 batters he faced and Matthew Daly picked up his 11th save despite giving up a run. Sean Shoffit, Jon Talley and Dan Perales each had 2 hits, of which 2 (Talley and Perales) were solo home runs, while Shoffit stole a base. Adeiny Hechavarria and Travis d'Arnaud went 0fer.
Ryan Tepera threw a dandy, going 8.1 strong allowing 2 runs on 6 hits with no walks and 6 k's. His only runs allowed came in the second and third, both on triples to rightfielder Bradley Glenn. Not sure what's going on there. Anyway he settled down after that and retired 16 straight before giving up a single with one out in the 9th. Steve Turnbull then shut the door with a k and a grounder for his 10 save. Mark Sobolewski had 3 hits, including a double and a triple, Balbino Fuenmayor had 2 singles and Brad McElroy hit a two run home run.
