Las Vegas had 19 hits in their win.  Angel Sanchez had three of them and 7 RBI's including a grand slam.  Sanchez has been hot recently with the bat, hot streak or new level of performance?  Time will tell.  Dunedin as a team had three hits but still won on a Jesus Gonzalez home run.  Lansing and the GCL Jays both lost in extra innings.

Las Vegas 16  Omaha 8

Las Vegas jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead.  They scored two runs in the first inning on a 2 run single from Brian Dopirak.  They added a third run in the second inning, Angel Sanchez doubled and Howie Clark singled him home.  David Purcey was on the mound for Vegas and he gave up a run in the second.  Las Vegas got that back in the fifth on another home run by Travis Snider and more on a grand slam by Angel Sanchez Sanchez came to bat again in the sixth with the bases loaded and this time he doubled to clear the bases.  Later in the inning Aaron Mathews doubled in two more to make the score 13-1.  Purcey ran into trouble in the seventh and he gave up a grand slam of his own and the lead was down to 13-6.  Both teams tacked on runs in the last few innings with Vegas finishing with the 16-8 win.

Jason Lane went 4-5; Angel Sanchez was 3-5 with 7 rbi's; Brian Dopirak and Aaron Mathews had three hits each.

New Hampshire - night off

Daytona 1  Dunedin 2

This game was tied at zeroes through seven innings.  With one out in the eighth Dunedin starter Ryan Page gave up a single.  Then on a pick-off attempt Page threw the ball away allowing the runner to go to third.  Daytona pulled off a succesful squeeze to go up 1-0.

Dunedin headed to the bottom of the eighth with only two hits in the game but Jesus Gonzalez followed a two out walk with his twelfth home run to give the Jays a 2-1 lead. The Jays called on Trystan Magnuson for the save and he walked the lead-off hitter.  He followed with a ground out, a single and a strikeout and Tim Collins came on for the last out, and the save.  Ryan Page gave up an unearned run over eight innings, he gave up seven hits and didn't walk anyone.

Dunedin won with only three hits.

Dayton 2  Lansing 6 - 13 innings

Lansing went ahead 2-0 in the second inning. Justin McClanahan and Balbino Fuenmayor singled to lead off the inning.  Then with two outs Kenny Wilson and Tyler Pastornicky each singled in a run.  In the fourth Dayton loaded the bases with no-one out on an error and two walks.  That was followed by a double to tie the game and leave runners on second and third with no-one out.  But starter Chris Holquin buckled down to get out of the inning with no further damage.  Thereafter neither team could score despite each team having some chances.  Finally in the 13th inning Dayton put up four runs and that was enough for the win.

Yohermyn Chavez had three hits, the only Lugnut with more than one.
