A couple of Gonzalez's produced star-worthy performances on Saturday as the affiliates went 4-1.  Reidier Gonzalez pitched a complete game shutout for Lansing.  Jesus Gonzalez went 4-5 as Dunedin won easily.  Joel Collins hit two home runs to power the GCL Jays's offense.  Brett Cecil got back on track as Auburn won in extras.  New Hampshire took the lone loss as Syracuse were flood victims.

Syracuse at Buffalo (DH) - Postponed

A broken valve in the Dunn Tire Park irrigation system flooded the field and forced the postponement of Saturday's doubleheader.  The teams will play doubleheaders on Sunday and Monday to make up the washed-out games.

New Hampshire 2  Connecticut 6

BC's Brooks McNiven held New Hampshire to just two hits over eight shutout innings.  Kurt Isenberg started and gave up nine hits and three runs in 5.1 innings.  Chip Cannon hit a consolation two run home run in the ninth.

Clearwater 2  Dunedin 12

Dunedin scored nine runs in the first two innings and cruised to the win.  Luke Hetherington and Jesus Gonzalez each doubled to lead off the game and each then singled in the second inning as part of a seven run effort capped by a three run home run by Josh Kreuzer.  Kreuzer finished 2-5 with 4 RBI's, Jesus Gonzalez was 4-5.  Brandon Magee started and pitched eight innings allowing two solo home runs among his six hits.

Lansing 6  Quad Cities 0

Paul Franko hit a three run home run in the fourth inning, one of only four hits by the Lugnuts.  In the ninth inning Scott Campbell doubled in three more runners, all of whom had walked.  Reidier Gonzalez delivered an excellent start, a complete game shutout with five hits allowed.  Gonzalez walked two and struck out nine.

Hudson Valley 3  Auburn 4 - 10 innings

Brett Cecil had a rough start last time out and this one didn't start too good either.  The first three hitters went single, hit batter, bunt single to load the bases.  Cecil induced a double play ball that scored a run but limited the damage to one run.  Two errors in the second inning left Auburn down 2-0.  Auburn got one back in the bottom of the second when Luis Sanchez squeezed in JP Arencibia who had earlier walked.  Auburn took the lead in the fourth, Carlos Vazquez singled with one out, with two out Luis Sanchez singled him in to tie the game then Ben Zeskind doubled in the go-ahead run.  Nathan Melek and Edgar Estanga combined to give up the tying run in the eighth.  Auburn won in the bottom of the tenth with the tried and true walk, sacrifice, E5 method.  Sanchez was 3-3 with 2 RBI's.  Cecil's line was 6 4 2 1 0 4.

GCL Tigers 8  Gulf Coast Blue Jays 11

Joel Collins went 3-4 with two home runs and 5 RBI's to lead the Jays to victory.  Eric Eiland also went 3-4 and is now hitting .253 after a slow start.  Tolisano went 1-4 but drove in three runs and scored two.
