"He's On Pace For ..."

The most over-used and misunderstood phrase of any early baseball season is easily "on pace for." In fact, announcers around the majors are on pace to use that phrase forty-seven billion times this week (roughly, that is).

So let's over-use it in a misunderstood sort of way ourselves. For instance, did you realize that just one or two (or in one case three) games into the MLB season ...

• Josh Bard laughs at the magic of hitting .400, and is on pace to double that and hit .800 ...
• Many players are "on pace" to hit 162 homers, but Edgar Renteria and Adam Dunn will each hit 324 dingers ...
• Speaking of sluggers, Richie Sexson is on his way to 405 RBI this season ...
• Joe Nathan and Saloman Torres are each in line to save every single game for their 162-0 teams ... They are also two of 23 pitchers around MLB to have appeared in all (okay, both) of their team's games so far ...
• Kenny Lofton, Hanley Remirez and Willy Tavares are each on pace to steal no less than 324 bases ...
  without being caught a single time!
• Tony Pena Jr. is looking at 324 triples, while Miguel Cabrera is on his way to a monster 486-base hit season, with an OPS of 2.247, which will be good for fifth in the majors behind Pena, Dunn, Brian McCann and Paul Konerko.

What else has jumped out at you -- in, you know, a completely misunderstandable, over-used sort of way?
