No, not a dyslexic Chicago tune. It's your score for the night in the minor leagues, as the farm affiliates win 5 of 6.
Ottawa 1 @ Syracuse 7
Kevin Barker homered and doubled and drove in 3 to lead the Chiefs to a win. Chad Mottola added a 2 run shot, while Adam Lind went 2-2 with 2 walks. Ismael Ramirez started and went 6 innings and allowed 3 earned runs on 4 hits and 4 walks with 4 strikeouts. Justin James threw 3 shutout innings, allowing 3 baserunners while striking out 4. Chi-hung Cheng threw 4 very solid shutout innings, but lost control in the 5th. Josh Sowers got him out of a jam in the 5th, but then faltered in the sixth. Cheng allowed a run on 6 hits and 4 walks with 6 strikeouts in 4.2 innings.
Auburn 5 @ Oneonta 4
That makes 4 of them 5-4 suckers. Brian Jerolman's 2 run single capped a 3 run Doubleday uprising in the 6th inning. Jerolman also doubled in a run earlied as Auburn used their 5 hits quite efficiently. Chase Lirette and Dennis Bigley combined to keep the Tigers at bay despite allowing 9 hits.
Pulaski 14 @ Bluefield 7
The P-Jays scored 9 runs in the sixth inning to blow open a tight ballgame. Travis Snider walked and Jonathan Jaspe singled to start the inning, and later Snider singled and Jaspe tripled as the long inning wore down. Chris Emanuele had 3 hits, Josh Lex went 2-4 with 4 RBIs, and Leance Soto went 2-5. Snider ended up 2-4 with a walk. He's now hitting .331, with an acceptable 22-44 W/K ratio.
