Casey Janssen must be getting sick of the sight of Kris Benson, I'm feeling the same way.

Benson is now 3-1 against the good guys, and he's faced Janssen in each of his four starts against the Jays. His ERA against the Jays is 3.16 this season. Jays hitters are making this journeyman look like an All-Star. Janssen was quite a way from his best last night, his pitches didn't seem to be moving as much as usual and he left too many up in the zone.

Player of the Game: Ramon Hernandez, an excellent pick-up by the Orioles in the winter, was three for five with a couple of runs and a homer off the SS Loogy. Hernandez is now hitting a very fine .302/.359/.517 for the season.

For the Jays: Alex Rios hit his 13th and 14th dingers of the year for his first ever multi-home game, and was the only Jay hitter to do much of anything against Benson.

Unsung Hero: Brian Tallet had an effective two and a bit Innings coming in for Janssen in the fourth.

The boys are back in Town: Russ Adams started at second but had to make just one play, a pop-up in the fourth. Jay Gibbons was back for the Orioles, in the DH slot, and was two for five with three strikeouts.

Except for Josh: Josh Towers will not be called up for tommorrows game, instead Scott Downs will make the spot-start. The Orioles struggle against left handed pitching as a team they're hitting .215/.296/.372 against southpaws this year.

A.J watch: Burnett went five hitless Innings for the SkyChiefs last night in his first rehab start. The talk is of a possible June 22nd return after another rehab start on saturday - this time for New Hampshire against Portland.

Elsewhere in the East: Detroit beat Tampa bay 4-3 as the Devil Rays wasted another good Scott Kazmir outing. The Yankees and Red Sox didn't play.

Today: The Doctor looks to play stopper against Adam Loewen (again). 7:07 at the RC.
