The Chiefs came all the way back from a 4 run 1st inning deficit for the victory. Josh Banks struggled in the first inning, with 3 uncharacteristic walks in the inning leading to the 4 runs, but was outstanding thereafter retiring 15 of the next 16 batters he faced. His final line of 6 innings, 4 earned runs on 4 hits and 3 walks and 5 strikeouts was a testament to his grit. Ben Weber, Lee Gronkiewicz and Brandon League each pitched a scoreless inning of relief, with League earning his second save. Syracuse banged out 10 hits, including 6 doubles, with Russ Adams, Chad Mottola and John Hattig recording two safeties each. Adams continued his string of errorless games, and started a 4-6-3 double play.
Altoona 3 @ New Hampshire 0
The Fisher Cats could garner only 4 hits in the game, and only once had 2 runners on base in an inning. 5'9" Davis Romero was the tough luck loser, going 6 innings and allowing 2 earned runs on 5 hits and 2 walks, while punching 9 Altoona tickets and picking one off first base. Connor Falkenbach, Jim Bullard and Rodney Ormond finished up. Curtis Thigpen returned to the lineup after missing several games and DHed, going 1 for 4. Adam Lind went hitless, while Eric Arnold had 2 hits. Ron Davenport doubled in 4 trips, after being recalled from Dunedin.

Daryl Harang's wild pitch with two outs in the bottom of the ninth allowed the winning run to score. Orlando Trias started and went 8 solid innings, allowing 1 earned run on 6 hits and no walks with 3 strikeouts. The defence supported him with 3 double plays, all involving shortstop Ryan Klosterman. Aaron Matthews had 2 hits and drove in the lone D'Jay run, while Dustin Majewski and Ryan Patterson both took oh-fers.
Dayton 12 @ Lansing 5
Let's start with the good news, shall we? Po-Hsuan Keng pitched 3 innings of solid middle relief, allowing an unearned run on 2 hits and no walks. Yuber Rodriguez hit his first homer of the season, a grand slam with 2 outs in the ninth to make the score a tad more respectable, and Brian Pettway hit his 10th big fly. Cory Patton had 3 hits in 5 plate trips, while David Hicks had two. The rest we will try to forget. Billy Carnline had his roughest outing of the season as the Lugnut starter, and Jordan Timm struggled in the late innings.
