You Be the Manager- Switches and Role Players- Part 2

If you're new to this round of "You Be the Manager", please read Part 1. You brought in Brian Falkenborg to face Counsell. He's hitting in the 6 slot, and John Rodriguez comes in for Encarnacion with Bigbie moving to right and hits in the 9 slot. Counsell hits a sac fly, but Falkenborg escapes without any further damage. Rodriguez rewards your sagacity by plastering a 2 out tater, Eckstein follows with a walk and then Luna grounds out to short on a close play. Alas, he pulls a hammy in the process and has to leave the game and is replaced by Aaron Miles. The score is tied 5-5 after 4 innings.


In the top of the fifth, Falkenborg retires Jackson and Tracy easily, but Estrada reaches on a Miles error. The Snakes pinch-hit Gonzalez for DaVanon. You think about bringing in one of the lefties in the pen, Randy Flores or Tyler Johnson, but quickly reject the idea as it is too early. Gonzalez makes you pay by driving Falkenborg's second pitch well beyond the right-centerfield wall. Falkenborg retires Green and it's 7-5 halfway home. Pujols hits his 2nd homer of the game leading off the bottom of the frame to make it 7-6 Snakes and that's the way the score remains until the eighth. You pinch-hit for Falkenborg in the bottom of the fifth and Josh Hancock comes on to pitch the sixth and seventh. Brandon Medders pitches the sixth and seventh for Arizona. After seven innings, this is what your scorecard looks like:

In the top of the eighth, the Snakes have Green, Hudson and the pitching spot up, and you intend to bring in Flores. Your pitching spot is up second in the bottom of the inning.

Do you make any other moves when you bring in Flores?

Green strikes out, Hudson walks, and the Snakes send out Damion Easley to pinch-hit for Medders.

Do you take out Flores, and if so, do you make any other moves?
