For the first time in 2006 the Blue Jays had an organisational sweep, as the parent club and all four affiliates won yesterday.

Louisville 4 @ Syracuse 10 - Box Score

Josh Banks gave up five hits and a walk over five innings. However, three were solo homers to Chris Denorfia, Brian Buchanan and ex-Mariners prospect Ryan Jorgensen. Marcum came in and fanned four over three innings and picked up the win. Weber also pitched a scoreless inning of relief. The SkyChiefs scored four runs off Ben Kozlowski over his inning and a third and they made the most of a Ryan Jorgensen and two Norris Hopper errors to score three unearned runs. The SkyChiefs middle infielders went 0-8 with a BB, but aside from Ryan Roberts and Sergio Santos every starter had a hit. The team had six extra-base hits, but no homers. Rob Cosby added two doubles and John Hattig, John-Ford Griffin and Mike Mahoney each had one two-bagger, while Wayne Lydon hit his first triple of the year. Cosby went 3-4, but Mahoney had the hit of the game with a 2-out bases-clearing double in the bottom of the seventh that scored Cosby, Hattig and Santos and put the game out of reach.

New Britain 3 @ New Hampshire 5 - Box Score

Davis Romero pitched five scoreless innings, allowing three hits and striking out seven in his second start of the year. Ryan Houston allowed two runs in the 8th. However, he came in after Danny Hill and Jim Bullard had loaded the bases and managed to get a very important strikeout of Daniel Matienzo. Despite 0-fers from Carlos Cota, Curtis Thigpen, David Smith and Chip Cannon and only 8 total hits the offence managed to score enough runs to win. Miguel Negron and Eric Arnold combined for five of those hits and all 5-RBIs. Arnold went 2-2 with a solo homer and an RBI single. Negron had a 3-4 line with a 2-run homer and an RBI single.

Tampa 6 @ Dunedin 10 - Box Score

Jesse Litsch struck out seven over five innings, but he allowed six hits, a walk and five runs. However, three relievers each pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, including Milton Tavarez, who picked up his third save of the season. Five Blue Jays had at least two hits: Ryan Patterson, Josh Kruezer, Eric Nielson, Ryan Klosterman and Scott Dragicevich. Klosterman was the offensive star, with a 3-4 night and 4 RBIs. He hit his first home run of the year off Tampa reliever Steve Schroer. Robinson Diaz was the only Dunedin starter without a hit, although he picked up 2 RBIs on a sacrifice fly and a ground out, on which he reached base due to a Tampa error.

South Bend 2 @ Lansing 10 - Box Score

Russell Savickas had his second strong start of the year, scattering six hits and no walks over six innings. He allowed two runs, but one was unearned on a Jesus Gonzalez error. Billy Carnline came in for the three inning save and struck out three of the 10 batters he faced. Offensively, Yuber Rodriguez, Cory Patton and Brian Bormaster all had particularly strong games. Rodriguez went 3-3 with a triple, while Bormaster had a passed ball, but more than made up for it offensively with a 2-3 line that included a walk, a double and a 2-run homer. Patton had a 5 RBI night with a 2-run home run and a bases-clearing double with the sacks full in the bottom of the 6th, when the Lugnuts turned a 4-2 lead into an 8-2 game. The Lugnuts also stole four bases, with Rodriguez nabbing his fourth of the year.

2nd star – Miguel Negron, 3-4, R, HR, 3 RBI, 6 TB
