A tough day all around for the Jays organization. The minor league teams went 1-3 on Tuesday.
Louisville 3 @ Syracuse 2 (10 Inn)
Ryan Jorgensen hit a home run off of Lee Gronkiewicz in the 10th to provide the margin of victory. Francisco Rosario got the start for the Chiefs going 3 1/3 innings and allowing one run. He was followed by Brandon League who gave up the other run in 2 2/3 innings. Ben Weber pitched two scoreless innings.
The Syracuse bats were rather quiet. Justin Singleton had two hits including a home run. Rob Cosby and John Schneider each had a double and two walks.
New Hampshire 1 @ Connecticut 2
The Navigators 3 hit the Fisher Cats. The lone NH run was scored when Chip Cannon doubled home David Smith.
Kurt Isenberg was the tough luck loser in this one. Isenberg pitched 6 scoreless innings giving up just 4 hits and no walks to go along with 4 strikeouts. Ormond gave up a 2 run home run in his lone inning to take the loss.
Lakeland 2, Dunedin 10
This is the kind of run support that we want to see AJ Burnett get on a consistent basis. The Jays put up a 9 spot in the 4th inning to cruise to the victory. Patterson, Majewski, Kreuzer, Nielsen, Diaz and Snavely all had two hits. Nielsen had two walks to go with his two hits.
AJ Burnett made his second and final rehab start for the Jays. He gave up a double and 5 singles in 4 innings of work with no walks and 4 strikeouts. Bobby Ray came on in the fifth and pitched 4 scoreless innings to get the win. He gave up 3 singles and a walk with 1 strikeout.
Lansing 1 @ Dayton 2
Jacob Butler had a home run and double and 'Big City' Metropoulos chipped in with two hits. Chi-Hung Cheng got the start for Lansing giving up 2 runs over 4 1/3 innings. He gave up 7 hits, struck out 7, walked 2 and gave up a home run. Following him was Po-Hsuan Keng who was sponsored by the numbers '0' and '2' last night: 2.2 innings, 2 hits allowed, 2 walks, 2 Ks, 0 runs, 0 ERA.
