Two split doubleheaders, two rainouts and two single game losses featuring some poor pitching. Ricky Romero starts but Eric Fowler was better.

Shawn Marcum started game 1 and cruised through the first three innings with two hits allowed. But in the fourth the first five hitters reached base, and after two outs the next hitter doubled to drive in a fifth run and that was all for Marcum. His line was 3.2IP, 8 hits, 0 walks, 6 K's and 5 runs. The Chiefs had a 3-0 lead before that inning, Quiroz doubled in two runs and Solano doubled Q home. Jason Arnold followed Marcum and gave up 2 runs in the fifth but the Chiefs chipped away scoring a run in the fourth on a Quiroz double, two more in the fifth on a Chad Mottola double and a wild pitch, and tied the game in the sixth, thanks to a home run by Anton French But in the top of the seventh, the last inning as it was a doubleheader, new Chief Kevin Tolar allowed a single then walked three stright hitters to force in the winning run. Mottola, Nelson and Quiroz had two hits.
Syracuse picked up the in in the nightcap despite having only two hits. All the Syracuse runs came in the second, John Ford Griffin, Joe DePastino and Justin Singleton all walked to load the bases, Danny Solano singled home a pair, and the third run scored on a throwing error by the catcher. Chris Baker pitched into the fifth inning allowing 2 runs, and the bullpen shutout Indianapolis through the final two innings.

Dunedin 1 Daytona 2 - 12 innings
A pitcher duel that ended in the twelfth with three Daytona hits off Milton Tavarez. Before that Daytona scored a run in the first as Ricky Romero allowed his first professional run, then Romero, Justin James, Brian Reed and Milton Tavarez shutout Daytona for the next ten innings. Tavarez was in his third inning when he allowed the winning run. Romero went 2.1 innings with three hits and three K's. Dunedin scored their run in the second when Rodney Medina singled home Joey Reiman who had walked. Carlo Cota and Manny Mayerson were the only Jays with two hits.

Lansing led this game until the bottom of the eighth when Clinton scored a couple to go ahead and three more in the ninth to seal the deal. None of the three Lugnut pitchers were effective, AJ Wideman gave up five runs in 4.1 innings, Juan Perez allowed two runs in two innings and Yesson Berroa three runs in 1.2 innings. Lansing scored six runs on eight hits, the biggest blow was when Ontario's David Corrente doubled home three runs in the third inning. Aaron Mathews and Corrente had two hits each.

More non-effective pitching in game 1, Billy Carnline gave up four runs on six hits and three walks in three innings, Sean Stidfole allowed five runs, two earned, in 2.1 innings and Adrian Martin allowed five hits and an unearned run in 2.2 innings. Sean Shoffit and Brian Pettway had two hits each, one of Pettway's hits was a two run home run.
In game 2 Auburn took a 8-1 lead before the bullpen made it interesting. Eric Fowler had a good start, 5IP, 4H, 2BB, 4K, one run. The hitting stars were Cory Patton 3-3, 3 runs, with a triple; Brian Bormaster 3-4, 3 RBI's; and Ryan Patteron 1-3 with 3 RBI's.
