The come-back kids ensured a minor league sweep as the affiliates went 5-0. Dunedin won in the bottom of the ninth, Lansing scored two to win in the bottom of the tenth, and Pulaski scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh, another in the bottom of the eighth, a run in the bottom of the ninth to tie, and a run in the bottom of the tenth to win. Syracuse pitching did not blow the lead and Auburn won from the front.

Syracuse have been scoring lots of runs, their problem has been that the pitchers have been allowing more. Finally last night the Chiefs received three shutout innings from the bullpen to secure the win. The Chiefs scored eight runs in the first three innings to jump out to an 8-2 lead. Shawn Marcum was good, but not great, 6 IP, 6 hits, 3 (yes 3) walks, 6 K's and 5 runs. Marcum bunched his hits allowed, a 2 run home run in the second, and three singles leading to 2 more runs in the third. Justin Miller pitched 1.2 scoreless innings, and Lee Gronkiewicz finished out the last 1.1 innings for some welcome shutout relief pitching.
John Ford Griffin hit his 22nd home run in the first inning, a three run shot after Gabe Gross and Kevin Barker Walked. In the second inning Kevin Barker singled in two runs. Chad Mottola hit a solo home run in the third, and Julius Matos followed with a two run shot. Matos was 3-4, scoring twice and also driving in two. Griffin was 2-4 and drove in three runs, Mottola had two hits.

Dunedin took a 6-5 lead to the ninth but a two out home run off milton Tavarez tied the game. In the bottom of the ninth, with one out, Carlo Cota doubled and with two out Vito Chiaravalloti singled him home for the win. Vito had scored Dunedin's first run when Guillermo Quiroz singled him home. Adam Lind hit a two run home run in the third, Eric Arnold tripled home two runs in the fifth and Carlo Cota homered in the seventh. David Romero started and hit the wall in the fifth when Clearwater hit a pair of two run homers. Danny Hill pitched 2.1 shutout innings. Cota, Lind, Arnold, Vito and Quiroz each had two hits.

Lansing scored four runs in the eighth to tie, and after Peoria scored one in the tenth, Lasning scored twice in the bottom of the tenth for the win. Christian Snavely started the bottom of the tenth with a single, and after a balk moved him to second, Peoria elected to intentionally walk Eric Nielsen to put the potential winning run on base. That decision immediately backfired when a wild pitch moved the runners to second and third. Aaron Mathews hit a deep sac fly to tie the game and move Nielsen to third. Peoria intentionally walked two hitters to load the bases but Ryan Klosterman singled in the winning run. The four runs in the eighth featured a two run double by Charlie Anderson followed by a David Hicks single to score the tying run. Scott Roy pitched three innings for the win, Danny Core started and allowed five runs on six hits over seven innings.
Lansing had only seven hits, Klosterman and Eugenio Velez had two hits each.

Auburn scored four runs in the third, Sean Shoffit doubled in two runs, Cory Patton doubled in a third and the fourth run scored on a bases loaded walk. New Jersey got those four runs back in the top of the fourth off Robert Ray. Ray had shut down New Jersey for three innings but got out of sync in the fourth, four hits, a walk, an error, plus a hit by pitch and a wild pitch tied the game. Auburn got those two runs back right away in the top of the fourth thanks to the same hitters. Anthony Garibaldi and Marshall Bernhard were on base again for Sean Shoffit who singled one run in and Matt Cooksey grounded out to make it 6-4. From there the Auburn pitchers took over, Edward Rodriguez pitched three shutout innings and Paul Phillips pitched the last two, allowing only a walk.
Auburn had only seven hits, Shoffit went 2-4 to keep his batting average at .304. Shoffit is following the Auburn tradition set by Ryan Roberts and Brian Hall, the Auburn second basemen have been major offensive threats over the past few years. Finally remember Ricky Romero is scheduled to make his first professional appearance tonight.

Pulaski scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh, another in the bottom of the eighth, a run in the bottom of the ninth to tie, and a run in the bottom of the tenth to win. Pulaski hitters get some of the credit but Bluefield errors contributed to three of the five runs. In the bottom of the tenth Heliezer Aguilar led off with a single, was sacrificed to second and an intentional walk and an unintentional walk loaded the bases for Jonathan Jaspe who grounded to third base, the ball was bobbled, and Pulaski won. Doubles by Paul Franko and Jaspe tied the game in the ninth. Franko went 3-4; Jaspe went 2-5; and Aguilar 2-4.
Wilfreddy Aguirre started and allowed two runs in four innings, Dennis Bigley allowed three runs in three innings, Connor Falkenbach one run in two innings and Shane Benson pitched a perfect tenth for the win.
