The Chiefs and Knights went 14 innings toe-to-toe, but no victor was declared in their duel. Dave Bush started and went 6 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 6 hits, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Brandon League moved to the pen, and allowed the tying run in the 7th inning. Spike Lundberg, Adrian Burnside, Matt Duff, Matt Whiteside (who surrendered a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the 12th), and Jason Arnold all took the horsehide for brief periods. Kevin Barker hit a 3 run homer early, along with a RBI single to put the Chiefs ahead in the top of the 12th. John-ford Griffin hit a solo homer.

Josh Banks silenced the Thunder on 4 hits in 6 solid innings of work. Banks walked one and struck out 6. Jesse Carlson,Jamie Vermilyea , and Lee Gronkiewicz each pitched a solid of inning of relief. The bullpen only allowed a solitary hit, no walks and struck out 3. The top of the lineup produced most of the F-Cat offence. Leadoff hitter Miguel Negron singled, walked and scored 2 runs and drove in another. Ryan Roberts singled, doubled and walked in 4 trips, and drove in 2. Brad Hassey doubled twice in three trips.

Po-Hsuan Keng and Jeremy Harper finished up in fine style. Christian Snavely had 3 hits to lead the Lugnut attack, while David Corrente and Yuber Rodriguez each singled and doubled in 4 trips. The go-ahead run scored in the 5th inning courtesy of 2 errors by 1st overall pick in the 2004 draft Matt Bush.
