Great starts from newly promoted starters and a few key hits lead to a 3-1 evening for the farm affiliates.

The Fisher Cats scored 3 runs in the 3rd inning to take the lead, and Ismael Ramirez and the pen made it stand up. Ramirez gave up 2 earned runs in 7 innings on 6 hits, including a solo homer, and no walks with 4 punch-outs. Bubbie Buzachero, Brian Reed and Lee Gronkiewicz befuddled the Navigators in the eighth and ninth. "Game Over" Gronkiewicz would be a natural for the GO Train bullpen, as he recorded his 17th save of the season. Ryan Roberts and Justin Singleton, who went 4-4, had the big hits for the Cats in the 3rd. Catcher Jose Umbria went 3-3. Vito Chiaravalloti did not play, after being taken out of Friday's game. Further details are not yet available.

Casey Janssen continued his mah-vellous pitching with 6.2 innings of 1-hit ball. Janssen walked 2 and struck out 7. Joey Reiman's 3 run double in the first inning was all the support Casey needed on this day. David Smith's 2 run homer in the 3rd inning put the icing on the cake. Adam Lind went 1-4, while Chip Cannon went 0-3 with a walk. Brad Mumma, Danny Hill and Milton Tavarez finished up the game uneventfully after Janssen's gem.

The Lugnuts clearly missed the home cooking enjoyed by the other farm affiliates, and took a good licking. Chi-Hung Cheng went 4.1 innings and allowed 6 runs, 4 earned on 6 hits and 3 walks with 5 strikeouts. Juan Perez and Jeremy Harper finished up the game without incident. The Lugnuts finished with 3 hits, 7 walks and 10 strikeouts, but lacked the essential homers to be true three outcome heroes. Ryan Klosterman and Christian Snavely walked twice.
