The Fisher Cats defeated Altoona 2-0 to sweep their best-of-five Eastern League Championship series.

Altoona 0 New Hampshire 2- New Hampshire wins series 3-0

Jordan has supplied the game summary in the Fisher Cats are Champions thread:

In the clinching game, Francisco Rosario fired 6 shutout innings, allowing just 3 hits and escaping trouble from the 4 walks he issued; he struck out 6. Jamie Vermilyea followed by retiring 2 batters, whiffing 1, and Series MVP Brandon League finished up with 2 1/3 shutout innings, yielding just 1 hit and 1 walk, striking out 3. Look for all three of these pitchers to show up on the Toronto roster over the next year or two.

John Hattig supplied all the offence with a 2-run homer in the 3rd inning. Aaron Hill banged out 3 hits, while Dominic Rich, Maikel Jova and Justin Singleton had 2 hits apiece.

New Hampshire broadcaster Bob Lipman advises and the Union Leader confirms that League and Gustavo Chacin will be called up to Toronto today.
