Gustavo Chacin is proving that Triple A is no problem for him. He restricted the hot-hitting Bison team to one run in 6.2 innings on 9 hits and 2 walks with 8 strikeouts. Talley Haines closed out the game with 2.1 shutout innings for his second save. Anton French hit a 3 run homer for the Sky Chiefs, while Simon Pond had 3 hits. Russ Adams reached base twice in 4 plate appearances, and Guillermo Quiroz singled in 4 trips.

There's a fine way to clinch a playoff spot. Francisco Rosario pitched a no-hitter for 7 innings, walking 2 and striking out 8. The Fisher Cats played some fine defence behind him, with Justin Singleton making a spectacular over-the-fence grab. Jamie Vermilyea allowed a hit in the ninth inning, but completed the shutout. Dominic Rich singled, doubled and homered and drove in 3. John-ford Griffin doubled with the bases loaded in the first to drive in 3 and start the Fisher Cats off on their merry way. Tyrell Godwin scored 3 runs out of the leadoff slot, and Aaron Hill went 0-3 with a walk.

Ron Davenport's 3 run homer with two outs in the top of the seventh brought the D-Jays back from a 1-0 deficit. Dunedin added an insurance run in the ninth on Carlo Cota's RBI single. It was his 3rd hit, to go along with a walk, in the game. Ismael Ramirez was solid, going 6 innings and allowing 1 earned run on 4 hits and 1 walk with 6 strikeouts. Andy Torres and Brian Reed each pitched a scoreless inning of relief, and Edward Buzachero earned the save in style, striking out all 3 batters he faced.

Chris Neylan, Juan Perez and Kyle Yates tried to clean up the mess, with only Perez succeeding. Vinnie Esposito hit a late homer for the Doubledays, who scored 3 runs in the ninth to make the score look respectable. Curtis Thigpen had 2 hits.
