Rochester 3, Syracuse 1
Former Jays farmhand Dave Gassner outdueled his good friend Cam Reimers in this match. The Skychiefs managed only one run on an RBI double off the bat of Howie Clark.
The score was tied 1-1 going into the seventh but the Red Wings scored two on a two-out double off of Reimers to take the lead for good. Anton French had three hits, Russ Adams singled and walked while Guillermo Quiroz had a double in four trips to the plate.

New Hampshire 6, Portland 1
A five run fifth inning blew things open for New Hampshire as they pulled out a win to maintain a two game lead in the standings over Binghamton. Chris Baker celebrated his birthday by throwing 8 solid innings allowing only a single runner to cross the plate while striking out 8. Jamie Vermilyea pitched a perfect ninth.
John-Ford Griffin and John Hattig both reached base 3 times, each with a double, a single and a walk.

Tampa 3, Dunedin 2
This one remained tied at 0-0 until a two run shot by Ron Davenport in the sixth inning. In total, Shaun Marcum tossed up 7 zeroes on the scoreboard allowing 4 hits, 1 walk and punching out 4. Marcum's K/BB rate in Dunedin now sits at 66/4.
However, the bullpen was unable to hold the Yankees down any longer as Andy Torres coughed up a run in the 8th and Bubbie Buzachero 2 more in the ninth for the blown save and the loss.

Jermy Acey yielded the biggest stick as he drove in 3 with a single, double and a home run for the Alley Cats as they cruised to victory. Tom Mastny gave up 1 run on 5 hits, a walk and 7 punchouts but was pulled after the 4th inning.

Auburn 2, Vermont 3
7 different Doubledays had base hits but only Aaron Mathews was able to make it all the way back to home. He did so twice with a single and 3 walks. Chip Cannon also singled and walked twice.
Casey McKenzie tossed 4 shutout innings but in the end it was the defense that let Auburn down. 3B Vincent Esposito misplayed a bunt in the 5th that lead to 2 runs scoring. In the 9th, Esposito threw the ball away again on a grounder allowing the runner from 1st to score the winning run.

Pulaski 16, Bristol 4
This was a sloppy one featuring 7 errors, 3 by Bristol and 4 by the P-Jays. Pulaski was at least able to atone for its mistakes by drawing 10 walks and smacking out 14 hits including home runs by David Hicks and Jon Ashford.
Adrian Martin had the start, pitching 3+ innings allowing 3 runs, only 2 earned. Yesson Berroa allowed 1 run and struck out 4 in three innings while Joey Charron pitched the final two innings.
