Gustavo Chacin was outstanding again, a Jason Arnold sighting, and two home runs for Brian Hall
Ottawa 8 Syracuse 13
Syracuse scored five runs in the first inning but Ottawa battled back and the Chiefs had to pull it out in the bottom of the eighth. Anton French got things going with a single and a stolen base. Russ Adams walked and Gabe Gross drove them both in with a double. Glenn Williams singled then Julius Matos doubled home two more runs. A groundout by Shawn Fagan scored the fifth run.
Syracuse built their lead to 7-2 but a run in the fifth and four more in the sixth allowed Ottawa to tie the score. Mike Smith started for the Chiefs and conceded seven runs on seven hits in 5.2 innings.
In the bottom of the seventh French doubled, Adams bunted him to third, and a sac fly from Williams put the Chiefs ahead. Guzman doubled off Aquilino Lopez to start the eighth and with one out Bob File came on. A wild pitch by File moved the runner to third and a ground out scored him to tie the game. In the bottom of the eighth a single by Fagan got it going for the Chiefs. A walk and an error loaded the bases and French singled to put the Chiefs ahead. They added four more to put it away.
French and Gross had three hits and three runs scored each, Gross had four RBI's. Quiroz hit a home run.

Bowie 0 New Hampshire 4
Gustavo Chacin continued his great run with another no-hitter through seven innings. Two weeks ago Chacin was in the same situation when he faced off with Scott Kazmir. Chacin had only conceded two walks through seven innings but was pulled due to his pitch count. In a replay of the game from two weeks ago Travis Thompson came in from the pen and allowed the opposition to break up the no-hitter. Thompson loaded the bases and Jordan DeJong had to come on to get a double play ball to keep Bowie off the scoreboard.
Meanwhile Tyrell Godwin was wreaking his own havoc on Bowie. Godwin singled in the third, stole second, and later scored on a sac fly by Aaron Hill. In the fifth consecutive singles by Godwin, Rich and Hill contributed to two runs. In the seventh Godwin was at it again. He walked, stole second, stole third and again scored on a sac fly by Hill.
Godwin was 2-4 with a walk and three runs scored. Chacin's line was 7 IP, 0 H, 2 BB, 7 K's.

Tampa 2 Dunedin 9
Jason Arnold pitched two innings in his first rehab start. Arnold retired the first four hitters, conceded a home run, then two walks, then retired the last two hitters.
Carlo Cota went deep for a two run home run in the first inning. Ryan Roberts added a solo shot in the fourth and Raul Tablado hit a two run bomb in the sixth.
Andy Torres replaced Arnold and pitched four scoreless innings allowing three hits. Brian Reed gave up five hits in two innings and Bubbie Buzachero pitched the ninth.
Jose Yepez and Miguel Negron had two hits each.
Charleston (the good) 1 Charleston (the bad) 2
A pitchers duel on guaranteed Charleston win night. The good guys scored their run in the fourth on consecutive hits by Robinson Diaz, Joey Reiman and David Smith.
Davis Romero started and allowed one run, in the sixth, on a walk, an error and a balk. Romero pitched six innings, allowed the one unearned run, on three hits and five walks. Matt Dalton came on for the seventh and gave up hits to the first three hitters he faced and the bad guys had the lead. Charleston the good went quietly after that. Charleston the good had eight hits, all singles.
Auburn 7 Hudson Valley 2
The Doubledays scored a single run in seven of the nine innings. Brian Hall hit two home runs to give him a team leading eight on the season. Chip Cannon also went deep. Every starter had a hit except Jared Mangioni. Hall and Adam Lind had three hits each and both now sport .300 batting averages.
Juan Perez started and pitched five innings, allowing two runs on six hits.
Bluefield 3 Pulaski 1
Russell Savickas started and allowed all three runs in the second without allowing a hit. Two walks and an error by the pitcher scored one, and two groundouts added two more. Pulaski could not get the bats going on this night with only six hits in the game. Yuber Rodriguez had two of them. Rodriguez scored Pulaski's only run in the fourth when Joshua Lex singled him home.
