Lots of hitting by the Blue Jays but only three wins and two losses.
Buffalo 5 Syracuse 3
Buffalo have had Syracuse's number this year but this loss was the hardest to take. The Chiefs outhit Buffalo 13-6 and still lost. Adam Peterson came on in the ninth with a 3-2 lead looking for the save. He went walk, hit batter, sac, walk, single, walk and the Chiefs were down 4-3. Jason Kershner came on to concede a sac fly to make it 5-3.
Ryan Glynn started for the Chiefs and got back on track after being hammered in his last start. Glynn gave up two runs in the first inning but settled down after that to pitch effectively through six.
The Chiefs scored all their runs in the bottom of the sixth. Gabe Gross doubled and scored on a home run by Anthony Sanders. Chad Hermanson followed with a solo shot.
Russ Adams and Hermanson each had three hits. Gross, Sanders and Howie Clark each had two.
