A romp, a triumphant return, a squeaker, and a typical night at the office for the Doubledays were the highlights of a 4-2 night for the farm affiliates.

Ouch. The powerful Bisons scored 8 runs in the first 4 innings and coasted to victory. Cam Reimers took the biggest hit, surrendering 8 runs, 7 earned, on 10 hits and 2 walks with 2 strikeouts. Mike Nakamura and Jason Kershner were each touched for 2 runs in 2 inning. Nakamura did strike out 4. Adam Peterson finished up with a scoreless inning. Russ Adams singled and walked twice in 4 plate appearances. Gabe Gross doubled and walked, and Guillermo Quiroz went 0-2 with a walk.

Smiles all around, as Francisco Rosario returned to the mound with 4 dominating innings, allowing 1 hit and no walks, while striking out 4. Ryan Houston followed with 4 shutout innings, allowing 2 hits and 2 walks, while also striking out 4, for the win. Jordan DeJong came on and pitched a nervous ninth for the save. John-ford Griffin homered again in the 4th inning for the only run the Fisher Cats would need. Aaron Hill singled in an insurance run in the eighth inning. Griffin went 1-2 with 2 walks, while Hill went 1-3 with a walk. Tyrell Godwin did what a leadoff hitter should, with the Cats' other 2 hits and a stolen base.

The D-Jays bore the big club's burden, 0 runs scored, on this night. Justin James actually pitched quite well, going 5.1 innings. He allowed an unearned run in the 1st, a run on two doubles in the 4th and left the game down 2-0 in the sixth inning, with a runner on 1st and one out. James allowed 4 hits and 1 walk and struck out 6. Robert Nunley and Tommi Ozuna struggled in relief. Ryan Roberts,Jason Waugh, and Eric Kratz each had 2 hits for the D-Jays. Jayce Tingler did what a leadoff hitter should, going 1-2 with 2 walks. Raul Tablado went 1-4.

Robinson Diaz' 7th inning single broke a 2-2 tie. Danny Core started and fought his control to a draw for 5 innings, walking 5 and giving up 4 hits, but only 2 runs, 1 earned. Felix Romero got his 9th win with 2 scoreless innings of relief striking out 2 and allowing 1 hit. Jordy Templet and Mark Sopko pitched a scoreless inning each. Eric Arnold homered, singled and walked. Diaz had 3 hits in 5 trips, and Christian Snavely went 1-4.

The Doubledays put up 4 spots in the 2nd and 4th inning, and that was the ballgame. Jarad Mangioni went 4-4 with a homer, 3 runs scored and 3 ribbies. Aaron Matthews did what a leadoff hitter should, going 3-4 with a walk, driving in 2 runs for good measure. Ryan Klosterman did what a second place hitter should going 1-3 with a homer, a walk and a HBP, driving in 3 runs for good measure. Adam Lind singled and doubled in 5 at-bats. Juan Perez threw 5 shutout innings of 3-hit ball for the win. He walked one and struck out 3. Chris Neylan was battered about pretty good, before Erik Rico and Dewon Day restored order for 2.1 and 1 innings respectively.

The game was not as close as the score would suggest. The P-Jays scored 10 runs in the 1st inning, 3 in the 2nd inning and then 2 in each of the 4th, 5th and 6th innings to run away with it. Princeton buffed their statistics with 2 runs in the 9th. Hitting heroes were plentiful: Eugenio Velez doubled and homered and drove in 5, Jon Ashford singled, doubled and homered and drove in 3, and David Hicks drove in 4 runs with 3 singles. Yuber Rodriguez did what a leadoff hitter should, doubling, tripling and drawing a walk. Jordan Timm started and pitched a fine game in a blowout-5 innings, 7 hits, no walks and 5 strikeouts. Bryan Gale and Daryl Harang mopped up. Chris Leonard was assigned to Pulaski, after Rosario returned to New Hampshire.
