Today's song isn't supposed to be difficult to guess. It is, by request and with our deepest condolences, dedicated to Jeff, Hannah and Landen Geauvreau, in memory of Yvonne, their beloved wife and mom.

After one of the most disappointing games of the Season From Hell^TM, the news for Jays fans this morning, while not tragic by any means, is certainly bleak. Even as one vital cog was restored to the misfiring Toronto machine, another may be in need of repair. Any positives, like Vernon's 3-for-3 in his earlier-than-expected return, and Hinske extending his hit streak to 14 games, were overshadowed by the dark cloud surrounding the ace.

1. From the keyboard of Spencer Fordin, Halladay fatigued as Jays fall. Many armchair physicians have already made their diagnoses; Doc, while admitting a problem, still contends it isn't serious.
   
   
2. Fordin Notes: Wells makes his return. It's good news/bad news for Cat, who has "hockey groin" and will need offseason surgery, but can't make it any worse by returning to the lineup soon.
   
   
3. In the Star, Mark Zwolinski's Carlos says no to Jays quotes Delgado as saying, "the circus is over" -- for himself and in the clubhouse. Barring an offer that sweeps his agent off his feet, the best Blue Jay ever is staying put for the rest of this season. Now, if only he can get his stroke back, and people stop robbing him of doubles like Dellucci did last night.
   
   
4. Halladay sputters again as Rangers pound Blue Jays -- Zwolinski speculates, "the underlying problem, one not denied by the club, is that Halladay is suffering from a possible micro tear of one of the four muscle groups that join up in the shoulder area."
   
   
5. From the Globe, in Halladay experiences rough outing in Texas, Jeff Blair says Doc "has done nothing to ease some of the whispers that his health is less than 100 per-cent."
   
   
6. The Sun, not always the quickest to update its Web site, has the AP gamer by Stephen Hawkins: Jays, Halladay hammered.
