The All-Star Game rosters have been announced and, in what is surely a surprise to me, Ted Lilly will be the lone Blue Jays representative on the American League team.
Apparently, being the reigning AL Cy Young award winner doesn't mean much to AL skip Joe Torre.
Alfonso Soriano, for some crazy reason, led all players in fan votes. Carlos Beltran, who has grown into a true All-Star, probably won't get to attend the game for no reason other than the league wanting to stick to an arbitrary rule.
Once again this year, the fans get to vote on who they want to be the 32nd player on each team. Of course, you only get to pick from a small handful of overlooked players, but at least there will be a good chance the AL Central will get one more representative. Score one for mediocrity!
