A split for the minor league teams last night.
Durham 4 Syracuse 1
Ryan Glynn made his second start for the Chiefs and bobbed and weaved his way through five innings. Glynn allowed eight base runners through five innings and conceded two runs. Simon Pond homered in the fourth to make the Chief's deficit 2-1. Tally Haines came on in the sixth and the first two hitters went walk, homerun. That closed the scoring.
Russ Adams was 1-4; Gabe Gross was 0-4. Simon Pond was 2-4 with the home run.

New Hampshire 5 Trenton 6
New Hampshire scored in the first. Aaron Hill singled to drive in Anton French. Ryan Houston started for NH and gave up a run in the third and three more in the fifth on two Trenton home runs. NH scored four in the seventh, on four hits and a walk, to take a 5-4 lead. Trenton tied the game off Dan Jackson in the bottom of the seventh and took the lead off John Ogiltree in the eighth, both runs scoring on two-out singles. NH could not get a runner on in the eighth or ninth to try and tie the game.
Anton French and Dominic Rich each had three hits. Hill was 1-4.
Palm Beach 9 Dunedin 10
Ismael Ramirez had his worst appearance of the year last night allowing five runs in three innings. Luckily for him the Dunedin bats were hot. The Jays scored three in the second, two on a home run by Miguel Negron, and two more in the fourth to tie the game. New arival Brad Mumma allowed four runs in the fifth, but Dunedin fought back again. Chad Pleiness and Tracey Thorpe were outstanding for Dunedin allowing only one walk in four innings which gave the offense a chance to catch up.
Dunedin finally took the lead with four runs in the sixth on two hits, two walks and two errors.
Gregg Raymundo had three hits, Miguel Negron had two hits and a walk.
Kannapolis 0 Charleston 1
A pitchers duel last night in Charleston. This game was scoreless until the eighth inning. Justin James was excellent, two hits allowed in six innings with nine strikeouts. Felix Romero pitched two innings with four K's to get the win. Brian Reed pitched the ninth for the save.
Charleston's run in eighth began with two outs when Ryan Roberts was hit by a pitch. Joey Reiman promptly doubled him home. Roberts was not happy to be hit, again, by a Kannapolis pitcher. Words were exchanged after he scored and there was almost a baseball brawl. Ken Joyce had words with Roberts after the game and the two teams hook up again tonight.
Robinson Diaz had two of the five Alley Cat hits.
